Saw 8-BitRyan play Karma: The Dark World and man, its really beautiful in a tragic way. And like, the trippy story and visuals. Very good.

My original pitch for the workout scene-- Big Ben working out full montage set to 'the Italian equivalent of Eye of the Tiger'

This was fittingly the very first thing I boarded from this season.

I'm afraid my original pitch was based off of a similar montage from Supernatural where Sam is working out, and I requested an Italian song similar to Eye of the Tiger to be played over it as a joke... and the editors actually did it in the first animatic LOL

I'm glad they kept in the idea I pitched of him doing pull ups from the ceiling beam in the final version at least-- we were given an early render of what the lighting would look like, and all I could think about was Sammy and Yaz walking in to find Ben ominously hanging like this:

Anyway, I think time and pacing wound up being a factor in cutting this part down. Hope you guys like the peek at some of the cutting room floor storyboards haha!

Bonus-- where the beam is not rated to hold Ben:

“You’ve got a way to keep me on your side.”
