Life as I See and Live it..

From simple love spells to glamours and hexes, wax seal charms are a powerful and versatile tool for any witch’s arsenal. Small, inconspicuous, and easy to hide, these simple charms are useful for nearly any type of magick.

First, you will need a smooth work surface (I used the bottom of a ceramic bowl). Fold a small envelope from a square of paper. You want the envelope to be the same size as or smaller than the wax seal to ensure complete wax coverage.

Next, write your intent (or draw a sigil) on the inside of the envelope. Keep it simple or write very small.

You can add a small pinch of herbs (or a taglock) if you like, but try not to use too much or the charm won’t flatten and may not seal correctly.

Once you’ve added your herbs, fold the envelope shut. You may need to squish it a little to keep it closed.

Pour your wax over the envelope, making sure to cover any open edges, and place your stamp in the molten wax. Apply light pressure for a few moments and then allow to cool.

Once completely cool, remove your stamp and peel the charm off your work surface.

-when you’re about to sneeze, picture the negative energy going out of you

-when showering, take in that energy from the water! Water contains lots of energy!

-don’t have time to/forget to bless your tea when you make it? Bless the box of teabags with the intent on the energy being released when the tea is brewed bing bang you’re done, time saved

-GROUND YOURSELF ONCE A DAY MINIMUM, TRUST ME

-enchant you’re jewelry for whatever mood or purpose you’re feeling that day

-cleanse your crystals every once in a while

-meditate for five minutes when you are feeling bored

-for my witches who wear glasses, put a spell on them to prevent you from dropping them!

-send a little positive energy into a pen at a bank/office so when the next person picks it up they get a little pick me up, for a little pay-it-forward kindness 

-glamours are great spells to put into sunglasses

-brush yourself to rid of negative energy when you’re feeling stressed

-put a lil essential oil in whatever school textbook you dread most to help you feel more positive towards the subject

-protect yourself daily, especially my empaths out there!

-touch your tarot deck/ shuffle it to stay in tune with it’s and your energy even if you don’t do a reading that day

-sigils on shaving razors so that you won’t cut yourself while shaving

-open your third eye when divining

-pick up those heads up pennies you find for good luck

*Fill your life with flowers

*Wear natural colors and dress according to the season

*Use rose water on your skin and in your hair

*Laugh often; laugh loudly and without inhibition

*Use a silk or satin pillow case

*Take a bath with coconut milk, honey, and olive/coconut oil

*If your hair is long, put it up

hex for a player -  a curse from scorned lovers to the one breaking hearts, to give them difficulty finding anyone to be with romantically/sexually

cerberus hex - attacks what hurts things under plutonic protection spell

breezeblocks curse -  to affect someone you resent for leaving

pumpkin head - seasonal hex to “burn” those who wrong you

bad moon rising - a revenge curse, general misfortune for a month

to sink a sailor -  to symbolically drown someone 

marooned sailor curse -  a curse to strand them alone in life. 

avada kedavra - a curse not to kill, but to make the target feel death’s presence in their life. 

imperius curse -  to make the intended feel helpless, that things in their life are out of their power and control

cruciatus curse  - to create pain in the life of the intended, whether physical or emotional

seven devils curse -  a curse to burn the kingdom of and haunt the target

thorn in my side - a curse for abusers

red in your ledger - to return the hurt someone has done

Make sure practicing witchcraft in your home does not put you in any imminent danger! 

Drink tea - A mundane thing, make it a daily thing in order to make people less suspicious. Say short incantations while stirring in your honey. 

Keep a small plain notebook to use as your grimoire - Use this to write all your witchy ideas in. 

Find a well concealed hiding place to put all of your witchy stuff - Put anything that you want to keep concealed in here. 

Create a portable altar - One easy enough to take down and hide quickly. Draw an altar in your grimoire for a simple portable altar.

Meditate - Sit somewhere you won’t be disturbed and meditate. You don’t need any special supplies to meditate therefore, it is easy to hide.

Paint your nails to match your intent  

Glamour your Clothes

Braid your hair while say an incantation

Trace sigils around your room - Use your fingers so they remain discreet and charge them with intent.

Glamour a piece of jewelry to wear daily

Keep plants and candles in your room - No one will draw conclusions if these are in your room.

Decorate a shoe box to dedicate to your practice - Put any witchy things you want if you are unable to find a place to hide your stuff. 

Use knot magick when tying your shoes

Cleanse your room and home using intentions

Water your plants with growth spells - Speak to them while doing this in order to help them grow.

Do your casting in a discreet location outside - this way no one can interrupt you when you are in the middle of a ritual.

Use color magick when picking out what you want to wear

Use scented candles - Although lots of candles may raise suspicion, if they are scented they won’t draw much attention.  

Write sigils in lotion - Cover your body in lotion sigils, in a couple minutes they will fade away and not be visible.

Stir counter clockwise - In your baking or your tea to banish negative energy.

Use playing cards instead of tarot cards

Go for hikes - A way to be with nature and not raise any suspicion.

Clean your room - This is the equivalence of cleansing your room.

Just a quickie so after a few days you’ll probably know the words off by heart, and it’s so quick and easy to do you’ll have no excuse not to do it!

To release any negativity from the day so that it doesn’t build up over the week.

Should help you get a better nights sleep too if you find you stew on things overnight.

I’m going to use it last thing before I go to bed to clear myself at the end of the day, but there’s no reason if things are getting a bit overwhelming at school or work you can’t nip to the loo and do this quickly during the day 😊

Just sit quietly for a moment, close your eyes if it feels right, perhaps place one hand on the ground and one hand reaching into the air,

Chant the following whilst imagining the dark energy flowing out of your base/hand on the floor, and positive healing energy flowing from above you through your head/hand in the air and down through your entire body.

‘Out with old and in with new, Healing light flowing through. Stress and ties I do release, So mind and body are at peace.’

Chant until you feel clear.

It might help to imagine the light as coloured light. For example if you’re trying to purify anger maybe imagine the negative energy as red being replaced by healing link energy 😊

“Usable” is a broad word.

- feathers (freedom spells, spiritual spells, releasing feelings or energies, travel, communication, meditation or look up bird correspondences)

- pebbles (represent earth, stability, foundations, look up colour correspondences, altar decorations)

- sticks (stability, growth, binding, use as a wand, tie together to make a pentacle, look up tree correspondences)

- shells (renewal, security, safety, protection, house spells, connecting with water element, use to represent water, altar decorations, look up shell correspondences )

- scraps of ribbon or thread (binding, ribbon and knot magic, look up colour correspondences)

- string (binding, knot magic)

- sewing pins (protection or banishing)

- iron nails (protection, banishing, strength)

- paper and pen (writing and drawing charms, symbols, sigils and written spells - use different colour ink for colour magic!)

- photo or drawing of an animal (look up animal and bird correspondences, nice if you don’t want to or can’t use actual animal parts like bones, fur, teeth or can’t get a specific bird feather)

- cheap gemstones from a gift shop (Look up either gemstone correspondences for specific meanings, or colour correspondences which is a lot easier if you have a limited supply :) )

- gemstone chip bracelets (you can break the bracelet and use them as individual stones- even better if you happen to find something like a chakra bracelet with more than one type of stone!)

- hair (use as a tag lock of the person you’re casting the spell on, could even be your own if you want to making a healing poppet for yourself)

- photo of someone (to direct a spell to that person)

- an item that belongs to the person you’re casting the spell for/on

- key or a ring you already own on a necklace chain or piece of string (free pendulum!!!)

- playing cards (can be used for divination)

- herbal tea bags (can either steep in water for a potion or open tea bag and use contents dry. Get a multipack with different sorts in it!!)

- imagination and intuition!! (go with the flow and don’t solely rely on things you’ve heard other people using in their craft or the strict ‘official’ correspondences- apply your own meanings to everyday items- whatever those items represent to you personally, is how you can use it in your craft- everyone’s craft is personal and practicing using your own imagination and intuition helps you develop more as a witch and will eventually lead to you relying less on books and other people. There are many pagans that use the elements in some aspect of practice. All the traditional elements are present, earth, air, fire, and water, with the addition of the element of spirit or soul. When we think of elemental magic, a picture comes to mind of someone with great power, being able to call on the elements at their every whim, being able to control them with mind and body, and becoming the master of all. Contrary to this belief, witches using the elements in magical workings are not really trying to become the Avatar. It all comes from the basics earth centered paganism, this type tends to honor nature, and this is where the use of the four main elements come from.

Earth is where we live, it is where we plant our seed, to make our food, and it gives us all the resources we need to survive. Inside our bodies there are also all sorts of minerals that make us, and that we need to take in from the earth in order to live. We honor earth as an element because it makes us, sustains us, and spiritually keeps us grounded.

Air is what we breath. We need the air to survive, there is no doubt. It fills the earth’s surface and keeps it hospitable for all of life to flourish here. We honor air as an element, because it is a key part of nature which sustains us in the most basic way.

Water makes up 70% of our bodies. Life is so connected to water that they are inseparable. Water covers two thirds of the earth’s surface and holds our life in balance. We cannot survive without taking in water, and it is a resource we must take care of. This is why we give the element of water honor in pagan practice.

Fire is also essential to survival here on our planet. In cold winter days, there is nothing better to warm up, and fire also destroys, keeping the earth in a cycle of death and rebirth. Inside us, we have conceptual fires of love and passions in life. Fire also burns in the sun and keeps the entire planet alive and well. This is why we honor fire.

All these are the physical elements that are essential to life and make up nature. As pagans we honor them because they are the foundation of nature, and were created with life in mind to sustain us. Honoring these elements and working with them is a way of thanking the divine for giving us these gifts, and recognizing our own humanity in the world. It’s like saying “Thank you” to the Divine “for giving me these gifts that I need in all I do.” But there is another element that many pagans acknowledge: the element of spirit.

Color Magic is all about representation in your craft. It’s easy to add a little more power to your spellwork by using colors that represent the theme of what you are trying to accomplish. This is one of the most useful kinds of magic for beginning witches because color is found everywhere, unlike obscure herbs or stones, and can be found easily in most homes without having to buy anything new or expensive. You can write you words out in a colored pen, or on colored paper, use ribbons of specific colors in chord magic, or use colored candles. Color magic is great for beginners, and easy to add into spells, even for experienced practicians. All you need to know is which colors to use for which purpose.

First and foremost, White is used for: all purpose, cleansing, purity, peace, balance, concentration, innocence, healing, truth, and spirituality,

Black is used for: grounding, wisdom, learning, protection and safety, reversing or uncrossing and unhexing, abolishing negative energy, transforming, defense, scrying, and pride

Red is used for: passion, vitality, strength, survival, fertility, courage, sexuality, mercy, action, danger, war, conflict, independence, assertiveness, competition, and as a representation of the element fire

Orange is used for: creativity and self expression, intellectual matters, overcoming addiction, justice, joy, business success and ambition, vitality, fun, action and opportunity, and celebration

Yellow is used for: pleasure, success, happiness, learning, memory and concentration, persuasion, inspiration, imagination, charm, confidence, travel, flexibility, and to represent the element of air

Green is used for: prosperity, abundance, money, physical and emotional healing, growth, luck, marriage, plant magic, acceptance, weather, counteracting, jealousy, and envy

Light Blue is used for: spirituality, tranquility, peace, and protection

Blue is used for: communication, will power, focus, forgiveness, good fortune, truth, fidelity, patience, domestic harmony, organization, removing bad vibrations, sincerity, and representing the element of water

Indigo is used for: spiritual guidance, psychic ability, upholding dignity, divination, meditation, ambitions, and overcoming depression

Violet is used for: spirituality, connection to higher self, insight, clarity, tension, and representing the divine feminine

Purple is used for: wisdom, influence, spiritual power, driving away evil, changing one’s luck, independence, breaking habits, and representing the element of spirit, soul, or life force

Lavender is used for: knowledge and intuition

Pink is used for: love, compassion, nurturing, femininity, friendship, romance, partnership, spiritual and emotional healing, protection of children and innocents, domestic harmony, self improvement, and maturity

Brown is used for: house blessings, animal magic, concentration, material goods, stability, food, financial crisis, and representing the element of earth

Grey is used for: loneliness, glamour, contemplation, and removing negativity

Silver is used for: feminine divinity, stability, psychic awareness, intuition, dreams, victory, medetation, communication, luck, and moon magic

Gold is used for: masculine divinity, great fortune, abundance, prosperity, understanding, divination, fast luck, positive attitude, justice, health, attraction, luxury, and magic involving the sun
