A person fades away from your memory. Their truth doesn’t scare you anymore. The thought and wish of being with them don’t cross your mind anymore. But, some stuff, just stay. They’re still there, in a deep, deep, point of your mind. You miss them in a way you can’t explain, even to yourself. The way you miss a song, or a movie you were once obsessed with. The way you miss something that’s not yours. And the way you miss something that did you no harm. It’s a fleeting moment, yes, but you know it’s always been there. It’s not sad, it’s not happy, it’s just there. A memory telling you; you’ve loved and been loved. You’ve been happy. You had someone.
