From “I Stayed Up All Night Listening to Records: A Collection of Field Recordings.” This album is a magical compilation of lo-fi 90s greats. I’d love to see this happen more with hobo camps of touring musicians today from either coast or anywhere inbetween. I think this particular motley crew holds a special place in my heart because they’re Midwestern legends.

I recently saw Bob Pollard with a couple original members of GBV live in Bloomington IL and finally got my hands on his tequila bottle. I know these two were good pals. I know alcohol can be a good pal. But I wonder how Bob’s feeling bout Jenny slipping out the back door at the bar ... 

I’m 48 hours on, 48 hours off as we speak. I don’t know how I feel about it. There’s got to be a better way to keep pace without your heel on the banana peel till the end.
