MY ROYAL NEMESIS 멋진신세계 (2026) — To save your life, she gave up everything and went back. Shin Seori, look at me. I'm right here.
what if you loved a woman so much you were ready to be exiled for crimes you didn't commit so you wouldn't have to watch her cry, and you were ready to drink poison under threat if it was to protect her, what if you vowed to only let go of her only at the moment the whole world would collapse... but when you reunite with her she talks about loving a different person and how she wants you to live so that her lover can live and then promptly gets shot by an arrow meant for you as you both fall off the cliff.
that's 300 years of yearning and heartbreak etched in the soul. no wonder when the memories made their way to Segye they held so much gut-wrenching sorrow and bitterness that it snowed in summer— it's the bitter severance of Seori and Yi Hyeon's tie, which i believe was a transgression to the system and hence, led to the ill-fate. also since their souls are from different timelines, it's probably a union that occured before time.
no wonder Cha Segye is a selfish, jealous, expressive, insane person. that's the unsatisfied soul reclaiming all that fate made him let go in his past life.

you grabbed me first
My Royal Nemesis / 멋진신세계 dir. Han Tae Seob ‧ 2026
the trope when someones soul enters another body and people around them end up liking this new version better always makes me feel so sad. like was i that unlikeable damn...
she's so real
i'm sorry to the mentally sane, but angsty scenes like these will always appeal to me more than the most romantic scenes

the aunts and segye in this scene:
Poor Segye wants to get laid so bad… And there's only one episode left!
a big issue with current day kdramas it that most of them are pre-produced fully to help with costs and airing schedules as there are less slots for dramas to air on and things are more pricey with less returns, but back in the day when a kdrama was a big hit while on air, they used to extend it by 1-2 episodes in real time and tack on a special at the end. it was like a fun gift for the drama being a success and usually these episodes weren't even plot important they were just extra bonus content they could throw in since they filmed and aired almost simultaneously.
nowadays, a drama could be trending everywhere and be crazy popular but the channel will be forced to not add more episodes and air the short 12-14 episode run because they literally filmed this all half a year ago and the cast have all moved on. it really really sucks and i blame streamers like netflix for everything once again since they buy the streaming rights before and have a set episode count for the transaction
what is it that you said again? your "beloved"?
My Royal Nemesis / 멋진신세계 dir. Han Tae Seob ‧ 2026
people at the grocery store sometimes do a visible double-take about how many vegetables I'm buying. they look at me probably thinking wow she's so healthy! it's ok that she's also buying donuts! she's earned them!
you fools. all the produce is for my pet pig. I'm eating donuts for dinner.
an older woman actually stopped me once and told me I must be a great cook because I was just throwing random vegetables in my cart based on price. she was like "gosh! I would need a recipe to know what to do with all of those!"
i do have a recipe. it's very simple:
ingredients: vegetable
step 1: throw it on the ground.

A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previou
Let’s fucking go
This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
