Why they call a parkway a parkway and why they call a driveway a driveway.

They call a parkway a parkway because a parkway is usually a high speed limit road that goes through a heavily wooded area so while your driving it makes it looks like your driving through a national “park”. And when your riding on this high speed road your on your “way” some where. Put it together and you have PARKWAY.

They call a driveway a driveway because when you leave your house (which has some sort of short road that leads to the street) you “drive” a”way” from your house. Put it together and you have DRIVEaWAY. But who ever created the name doesn’t like Canada so they took the first ‘A’ out. So put it together without the first ‘A’ and you get DRIVEWAY.

Okay someone give me a million dollars for answering that million dollar question.
