« فأخبر أنه لا يعذب مستغفرًا، لأن الاستغفار يمحو الذنب الذي هو سبب العذاب، فيندفع العذاب » "He (Ibn Taymiyyah) states that Allah does not punish those who are seeking forgiveness, because seeking forgiveness removes the sin, which is the cause of punishment, and thus the punishment is averted."

يا الله، قد أعياني حتّى نفسي، فماذا أقول بعد؟

O Allah, I am exhausted even from myself, what more can I say?

وإلى مَن أُسلِّم هذا القلبَ المكسورَ إلا إليك؟

Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter?

'Amr b Sa'id b al-As reported:

I was with Uthman, and he called for ablution water and said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say: When the time for a prescribed prayer comes, if any Muslim performs ablution well and offers his prayer with humility and bowing, it will be an expiation for his past sins, so long as he has not committed a major sin; and this applies for all times.
