their early mtmte dynamic is really funny but not really conducive to steamy hot sex. i think later when the rossum's trinity threesome is solidified then they're kinda awkwardly hanging out with each other without rodimus every once in a while to make the Partners Quota and then they each realize that the other is really hot actually. as someone who does not care much for minimegs i think that magnus would maybe eventually be enamored with drift instead... he literally writes rodimus' speeches and has crazy lifelong guilt and enjoys torturing himself in his free time as repentance. he's like if megatron was hot. i think they would bond over how they both restrict themselves in order to be "good" and "correct" and then they'd kinda be all over each other guiltily fucking in a closet and having the exact same internal monologues about how much they deserve to die for it or whatever.
anyway yeah. two guys who stop themselves from being happy because they think they deserve rigidness, punishment, rules, isolation, etc. and both love their impulsive and free captain. they'd probably not talk much unless it's a heavy discussion about a specific topic. they constantly ask each other if it feels good or if it's ok to do something when they're fucking. drift would try so hard to treat minimus gently and minimus would wonder if he's doing it right because drift is hardly touching him. they figure it out eventually and at their best they'd enjoy each other's solidarity and company. idk i'm drunk they have sex that isn't particularly messy or desperate but it's somehow a billion times more emotionally charged than if it were
