Franco having his leg trapped in the last drawing I posted was my friend Ham’s idea (the genius behind dr. Cuckerman) The idea being that he doesn’t have a choice anymore, it’s too late to back out and that drill’s either going into his mouth or his skull. No alternatives 😇

it’d make dr. Futterman absolutely fucking MISERABLE and I love that for him. It’s Phyllis’ revenge for mistreating her. He gets a front row seat to his daughter having the filthiest, nastiest carnage-fueled, blood and viscera covered, fetishistic amorous encounters with a pint-sized Italian gremlin and there’s nothing he can do but complain.

Some elements of Coyle’s design show up in the Taut Binding/Pillowman/Candyman outfit (notably the shirt + tie and leather jacket in the first) too, but it’s more understated. Mom and dad DNA…
