beautiful in bloom

imogen had been standing near the hot chocolate stand for the past five minutes, studying her options. of course she’s had some before, but usually it ends up being kind of generic. so once she finally made up her mind she picked a cup and began to make her concoction. “wow, adding just a little cinnamon made this taste amazing,” she grinned before taking another sip. @hiddenstarters​

"I see enough of it at the bar I help manage, though sometimes when it’s also just from stories I hear by the employees,” she laughed a little. Sometimes people that drank could be ridiculous and other times it was just an accident. “Do you deal with broken glass a lot or just have a really dramatic story about it?”

"Ah, thank you,” Mirabel laughed as she shook off a piece that rested on her glasses. Perhaps if the holidays were actually happening or she had something else to celebrate she wouldn’t have minded. Today just wasn’t that kind of moment for her. “Maybe I’ll just get my own confetti popper and use it on them if I ever them again,” she joked. 

“I’ll keep that in mind for later then, thank you,” she assured the other man as she made a mental note of her own. Helaena nodded to their next question though. “Just over a year now, actually.”

lizzie’s brows raised not long after they’d noticed penelope’s had, likely for similar reasons as well. they were just in disbelief that this city had made another person she’d also known not remember who they are. part of them is glad penelope doesn’t seem to remember because this conversation could go in quite the direction. “we knew of each other once, but you moved away and we hadn’t seen each other again until now.” lizzie kept it vague, for now. 

"even if he was kind of cute, he was rude. so i wasn’t going to give in to him,” she shook her her head as she watched him disappear into the crowd. once he was gone they turned to face the other who had spoken up to them. lizzie could sense something about the other, but it was only the other’s words that clued her in. “i could’ve been harsher, but i’ve always been trying to be nicer. even if the jerk didn’t deserve it.”

"piano lessons, yep. i started teaching them about five months ago.” francesca enjoyed playing, but seeing the joy it could give others was just as rewarding. of course she always tried to grin and bare it if someone wasn’t good enough. being nice with younger students was getting easier. “you wouldn’t get to meet new people otherwise.”

"there are plenty of other things that probably make me one,” she sighed before flashing a smile. after all she genuinely felt like her aunt bonnie did care. but maybe it was also because it was they really wanted to hear from someone else. “thank you.”

“marco? is that really you?” manny shouted as she hoped to catch the other’s attention. she’d been so busy with her acting, singing, and taking lessons that she felt like she hadn’t seen anybody from degrassi in a while. plus she hoped that this was actually marco since she’d only seen their face for a couple seconds. 

helaena could feel herself growing closer towards a dream like state. the visions of her children and going to see her father and even her mother as well. of course her brother aemond as well. however, when that voice with that word hit her brain she snapped back to reality. her head zipped up to face the sound of the voice. as her eyes settled on the person she had to take a moment to think. there was only one person this could be if they thought helaena was their mother. of course since she wanted to believe it so badly she allowed herself to hold onto that. “jaehaera? is that really you? oh i’ve been hoping to find you for quite some time now.”

francesca had just ended one of her piano lessons a few minutes ago when she’d chosen to just go for a stroll. whenever she found herself teaching she found it easier to not be as sarcastic. however, when most of her students were children and teenagers she didn’t want to be overly rude towards them. in fact she’d been so lost in her thoughts that she hadn’t noticed the other person walking towards her until they bumped into each other. the man steadied her and she was grateful, but francesca still sighed. “i am fine, no marks or anything.”

mirabel didn’t mind it the way she had left it, but hearing the other’s comment made her suddenly doubt herself. however, she honestly believed the self-doubt kind of stemmed from her slight perfectionism and being around so many artists. as hard as it was to ask for help she sighed softly before placing her hands back on the flyer. “should i turn it more to the left or to the right?”

"we open in about an hour, but i am always here early,” she exclaimed as she quickly set down the chair in her hands. freya then turned around to face the other, hoping this to be the one she notified about the item earlier. “if you’re here this early, then i hope you are the one i called about a lost item. i was able to find your number from the receipt you had,” she paused, smiling a little. “are you rebekah?”

freya had been caught off guard by the other woman’s questions. she had no clue what she was talking about by mentioning those names. “yes, my last name is mikaelson. but i do not know anyone by the name of klaus or elijah.”

"yes, i quite agree. the display of lights can be quite beautiful too,” she mused. the other statement was one that she agreed with as well. westeros had name days instead of birthdays, but that was likely the closest thing these places had in common. “my name is helaena, by the way.”

"well, i’m kind of biased when i say i love the piano and all the sheet music we have. i also give lessons on the side as well,” but she laughed it off before just smiling. “and sorry about the closing soon. but we have the same hours tomorrow and the day after too.” francesca kept up the smile, trying to be polite. there was something that felt familiar about this guy, but it wasn’t something she could quite place. 

her attention easily shifted all over the place today, but once her spider pin had fallen she couldn’t think of anything else. it was a priceless item to her. so when the other picked it up and held it out towards her she immediately smiled. “oh, thank you,” helaena gently grabbed it and was about to put it back on when she paused. “i guess i should put it away for now. i don’t want to lose it again, but still. thank you very much, miss,” she smiled again, sliding the pin into her purse.
