âĽâš Hmmm ⌠this was truly a thing to behold, a smile stretched across his face in a bit of amusement. He wasnât one to show off often nor was he one to even bother to show people his magic skills really, as he wasnât as skilled as some others, but it was interesting to see someone who has never seen such a thing marvel at it as if it was abnormal â And maybe it was abnormal to the other ⌠But in Fodlan such a thing is normal, especially in the empire.
â You see, in my home magic is taught. Not everyone is as magically inclined as others, and some are exceptionally gifted ! I suppose in your home, this is not the case ? â The magic still swirled and swayed at his fingers, almost like a flame would but there was no heat or crackle like a fire. â This is only my most basic of healing magic as well, Nothing else seems to be strong enough to conjure, even if a spellbook. Though It would easily heal your hand without problem â
âĽâš Heâs seen his fair share of self-inflicted injuries, people get mad and punching a wall or throwing something down only for it to end up ricocheting back and hitting them, and then accidents where people accidentally hurt an ally with an arrow shot or just hit them too hard while sparring. While he is sure he wouldnât be able to magically close an open wound here, a small scratch would be childâs play, even with his current magic.
â There are many things healing magic can do, even powerful enough magic being able to cure diseases but thatâs reserved for very high-level mages ⌠Itâs not very mysterious to me, so itâs odd for you to see it in such a way, Iâve never met a person who hasnât known was magic is â
This was all giving him one big headache and he wasnât near smart enough to understand it. Teaching magic? Being magically inclined? Were there more people with light coming out their fingers walking around? The thought was both kind of amusing and terrifying. âMy home? In Korea?â he repeated but then again if the guy was from some sort of weird otherworldly place he might not even know what a Korea was. He then shook his head.
âNope, I havenât ever met anyone else-- anyone who can do things out of the ordinary.â Surely he couldnât be the only one, but they were probably few and far between, and in society as it was, it wasnât something he wanted anyone else to grow up being able to do. Had this guy faced the same fate of being bullied? Of being treated like a freak? Probably not if this was normal where he came from. Ahn realised that even though they were alike in some way, they also didnât share the same fate and somehow that made him feel lonely.
But if he could open up to anyone at all in this place, perhaps this was his chance? If this guy could do what he claimed and even much more with this magic of his then perhaps Ahn even had a way of practicing his psychometry here as to not disappoint Jaein. He had faith that they were going to be reunited again, somehow, someday, and now that he had got a distraction from his emotions he also felt much calmer. He supposed he should be thankful to the guy for that.
Hesitantly he held out his injured hand. âIâm lee Ahn. Can you really do what you say you can? If so please show me.â It was a giant leap of faith as he wasnât at all sure what the guy was going to do, but Ahn felt like he needed to take a chance here. If this stranger could really perform healing magic, then he could perhaps even try reading corpses again and start helping the police without having to worry about dying from feeling the pain of another person facing their demise.

crestintrigueâ:
âĽâš Ah, a stubborn type ⌠It reminded him a bit of felix, though felix more readily accepted healing since it meant he could fight longer (though if a wound was serious enough, healing could only do so much ⌠and could even cause more harm then good if not used correctly), Linhardt wasnât to surprised by it, they were strangers after all and for all he knew, the other may have never seen healing magic before.
âĽâš And it seemed he was right, when the other made some sort of joke about pulling a bird out of a nonexistent hat to heal his pain, what a strange person ⌠Linhardt put a hand under his own chin and closed his eyes for a moment, humming softly before allowing his arms to follow back to his side and tilt his head at the other.
â Such an off phrase, I have never heard of such a thing, though I suppose Iâd like to see someone pull a bird out of a hat as well, sounds a bit fantastical. â Though he pulled a book from the holder he had around him and flipped through it a bit. He didnât need any sort of tome usually to cast his magic but in this place, it felt weaker, completely unable to use any sort of offensive magic and his healing magic just felt almost nonexistent.
â Though I suppose that was a question rather than a statement, No. I donât even need to be this close truthfully ⌠Though in his strange world my spells seem weaker, I never had to read a spell out like this to make it work â He was mumbling to himself as he looked to the other, holding up one hand, a soft swirling white light appeared at his fingertips as he showed it to the other â Have you never seen anything like this ⌠? â
That sounded fantastical? No, no, no, the whole using magic power to somehow go against nature and rapidly heal a wound sounded even more fantastical. Some part of him was incredibly skeptical, especially with how out of the blue it had been as well (come on, who actually got injured and then just happened to stumble across a guy who knew healing magic?) but he supposed that he had no right to talk. And said guy seemed overly eager to show off; a complete opposite to Ahn himself.
âWha--?!â he let out in surprise as the light began emitting from the otherâs fingers. Now that was a magic trick he hadnât seem before. For a moment all sentiment towards being upset had dissipated, and he could only focus at the mystery at hand -- for it was indeed one such -- but no matter how much he tried to study the otherâs fingers he couldnât find a mechanism behind it. Perhaps this guy was the real deal after all.
He stepped backwards again, eyes resting carefully on the guy before him. This was âweakerâ? Then how could it possibly look if it was of its usual strength? But perhaps it was like how Ahn found himself unable to read objects in this place -- perhaps some sort of weird system was in place in order to even the field for everyone... no that sounded too far fetched, like something out of a video game. But then again, which part of this situation was normal?
âHow are you doing that?â asked the male only too late realising that it was a stupid question. How did he perform his psychometry? He hadnât the faintest clue, it was just something that happened. Perhaps it was the same with this guy. Perhaps he too was cursed with unnatural skills. Perhaps Ahn could find himself an ally in this mysterious world. âWow, mysterious,â he spoke with an acknowledging nod of his head.

crestintrigueâ:
âĽâš He was unsure what he was exactly doing out this late. He could be back at his new home, sleeping or researching but sometimes just kept drawing him to take a walk and so he did. It wasnât a bad time, the stars were pretty in his place and there was a nice quietness in the air. He could easily be lulled into sleep simply standing up with how calm it felt.
âĽâš Though the calmness was interrupted abruptly, it wasnât a loud noise that broke it but one that was loud enough to break the silence and catch his attention, allowing him to carefully approach to see what the situation possibly was. He wasnât as skilled as other soldiers with being quiet and stealthy so he wasnât too surprised when he was called out to by the person he was investigating. He finally made himself completely seen and looked over the other as well, seeing that his hand seemed to be hurt and after a moment of thinking, he figured it was self-inflicted which is the noise he must have heard.
â Donât worry, I was just passing and heard something, I wanted to make sure no was hurt ⌠â Though the other was hurt a bit so he approached slowly â Your hand ⌠I assume it hurts, would you like me to fix that ? Iâm a healer and it seems my magic still works in this place â
As truly enough a guy walked up to him, Ahn found himself squinting to behold his figure in the dim night light. Or maybe it was just because the dull pain was still thumping in his fist. At least he hadnât made a complete mess of himself this time, but he really needed to stop reacting outwards like that. Of course such thoughts werenât present within his mind at all, and his only focus was on accessing the stranger wearily as he came closer.
Pulling back and cradling the injured hand with the other, he became defensive of his hands. It didnât really seem like the ideal way to start this new city life; touch someone who was just trying to help him and expose his darkest memories. But that was just how it worked with Ahn, that was the curse he had born for most of his life. âItâs fine,â he insisted although he accidentally ended up gritting his teeth in pain as slim fingers rubbed over torn skin. âItâs just a small scratch, itâll disappear in no time at all.â Perhaps he was being stubborn, but until he knew how to gauge the people here, it was better to just pass off as normal.
But wait a second. Hadnât this guy himself said something that was incredibly weird? âWait a second, did you just say magic?â The kind of magic he knew was the âhey, is this your card?â kind of magic, but the word âhealerâ made it seem like something entirely different. He wasnât sure exactly what it meant. âAre you gonna pull a dove out of a hat to make the pain go away?â

@crestintrigue
It would be absolutely ridiculous, Ahn thought, to think of him as homesick, especially after only such a short period of time had passed. It was just that it wasnât fair. He was finally starting to get his life together again, had nice process with his studies, had a job albeit unofficially, a beautiful girlfriend, a place to call his own. And now all of that was just gone. He had always been one to take adversities in life a bit harder than most people, but considering his circumstances he dared say it was justified. He was finally starting to feel not like a monster but like an actual human being. And he was finally starting to get acknowledged as one as well. Did he have to work for all that again.
Slamming a fist against a brick wall in his frustration, the pain immediately shot out and filled him with regret and disappointment that he hadnât really changed as much as he would have liked to believe. At this hour of the night there shouldnât be anyone else out and about, but Ahn heard the hesitant footsteps behind him, announcing a spectator to his pitiful display.Â
âWhoâs there?â
Wings of the devil
@fatecrowned
Honestly Ahn didnât know what was the worst. Being stuck in some random place, not knowing where he was and not knowing anyone, or his alleged room mate. Yes, he himself was a high spirited young man usually and many a time had someone called him weird but this kid was on a whole other level. And he didnât even have White Snow to keep him company in his misery. Woe be him.
âWait wait wait! Iâm not following here! You say itâs aliens who brought us to this place?â
Ainât on the map
@feyedbirth
Okay. That was a new one. Certainly waking up in this place that he had never seen on the map should already be enough to throw him off, but Ahn had accustomed himself pretty decently (mainly by sulking in his apartment and whining about how much he missed home, but hey he was holding up) and he was getting decently used to this new place. But green hair? That was a new one.
Of course the less be said about his own outfit -- a sweater that was far too hot for this warm summer weather -- the better, but he had his reasons. Chances were the girls also had reasons of her own, both for her attire and her hair colour. The first thing Ahn could think of was that she had to be some kind of celebrity. Honestly he didnât follow the latest fads as much as he liked to pretend he did, but was there really one Korean person who didnât know at least some bits about kpop? Fancy outfits and hairdos were a must, that much he had gathered. Was this his chance to get to know someone famous? âAre you an idol?â He found himself asking with both curiosity and a knowing expression upon his features. âYou definitely are, arenât you?â
WELCOME TO THE CITY OF KOI
A brand new place, new chances, new emotions. A completely foreign place he wasnât entirely sure how he had ended up in. And most importantly, a strange sensation.
Of something missing.
Of longing.
A regret so deep he barely knew how to process it, but one that seemed to fade away and blur out the more he tried to grasp hold of it and put a form -- a name -- to it.
Logically he would think this lacking emotion being because he had no idea where Jaein was, that he had no means of contacting her and telling her he was alright. He wanted desperately to hold her hand, let those pointless memories that filled out her day flood into his mind as usual, enjoy whatever happened in her life almost together with her. But although that still held true there was more to it.
Someone who meant so much to him, so much love, so much anger, resentment, confusion, forgiveness. He could place each and every emotion within his mind. He knew it was a person who had been very important throughout his life, but the void couldnât be filled in no matter how much he tried.
Fingers lingering across his personal belongings Ahn tried to get a hint that way, but had found it useless. But that was the problem about being in a new place -- even if he tried to read his surroundings, none of them would show hints of a person who had never even been there. This wasnât his home and it never had been, so naturally no one he knew would exist as traces in the streets.
This saddened him. At first he hadnât understood much of what was going on -- wasnât smart enough to comprehend the concept -- but he himself was proof that powers in this world beyond what was humanly comprehensible existed, and such waking up out of nowhere in a new place with no means of communicating with the outside world shouldnât be too much of a surprise. But psychometry was something that had been with him since childhood -- waking up in strange places wasnât.
Wherever he was; whatever had been done to him; something was missing in his memories. Someone.Â
And he also knew that he would do anything in his power to regain the memory of that someone.

He Is PsychometricÂ
Hello citizens of Koi, itâs starter call time! Reply to this post with a song and Iâll write you a random starter!
Whispers hewwo Iâm Shino (25, they/them) and welcome to Jackass. As your local European it is my duty to post my introduction on the dash when no one else is awake, so here we go!
Iâm pretty certain that by now Iâve been in every run of Koi, itâs been a long journey so of course I couldnât miss the latest installment either. My boy here is from a kdrama, and I will use live action icons of his actor, Park Jinyoung, only. I do however not expect anyone to use live action icons in return. Hopefully the same can apply vice versa as Iâd like to stay true to my source.
All information pages were written around episode 10 and are not fully up to date; will be working on them soonish but Iâm kind of busy today and just wanted to get his app in because Iâm dumb af whOOPS but theyâre still good enough to give you an idea of who he is and what he can do. His about is here and a small profile with extra information can be found here. Will post a starter call later in the evening when people are actually online. Until then I have a twitter here, just be warned if you follow me that I post A Lot of kpop and talk A Lot about the krp groups Iâm in so a lot of it might not be relevant to you. I will not follow anyone first because I want to be sure youâre okay with it, but I will follow everyone back.
âMy world becomes yoursâ
havvwahâ:
âYes, that. A once-over and you ought to be able to do that much.â With a small chuckle she wrapped up the bouquet. Efficiency practically bled from every move, as the wrestling of all the stems ( while not disturbing the arrangement ) quickly turned to tearing and wrapping the decorative paper, and with a single twist on her wrist finished tying a brightly colored ribbon. She gently placed it into a cart that had one other order, taping a written note of the address for whoever was on delivery duty for the day.Â
âYou could buy one at one of the nearby stores, but it might save you time to use the ones in the store. Thereâs some fresh ones in the back, unless youâre sure we donât have your sizeâŚâ As she spoke she fished the keys from her apron pocket out, holding it out for him to accept. âGo ahead and take a look. You can also grab a new apron, it should be labeled on the box.â
For a moment he simply watched as she performed her flower magic, quite in awe at the display. It wasnât that he had never set foot in a floristâs before -- he did so every year in order to bring flowers to his parentsâ grave -- but it was a whole different thing actually seeing one so proficient at work. Then as she finished, almost as if the spell was broken, his face lit up in evident relief. So they really had a new pair of everything he would need, did they? That really made things easier for him.
Only a moment later though he was already faced with the next challenge as the keys dangled before his very eyes. Confusion entered his expression as he pointed on it, almost as if to ask if he was supposed to pick it up. Facing only acknowledgement he had absolutely no way of backing out of this and it would just seem strange to ask if she could unlock the door instead, so Ahn swallowed his nerves and took hold of the key. Immediately the images appeared in his mind as if someone was playing a film before his very eyes. A knife, sharp, reflecting light into his eyes as the blade was turned for a moment making him unable to see anything, and then it was over as soon as it had happened. He stood there, blinking a couple of times and then his inquiring gaze fell on Alina. âAh...â he let out hesitantly, but then bowed his head. âThanks. Iâll get the stuff quick!â
rizulizuâ:
âLove and beauty? Sure, yeah, I want a lot of that then. Give me as many orchids as possible.â
A request that wasnât so unusual at home, for sure. Lissa often loved the fill common spaces with flowers- particularly orchids. She had no real understanding of how to keep one alive, but their presences reminded her of her sister.Â
âIÂ just love orchids!â
Squinting his eyes, Ahn had to make sure he got this one absolutely right. As many orchids as possible probably meant everything they had. Right? What else could it mean? Was she seriously going to buyout their orchids? âYouâre kind of weird, arenât you?â Ahn mused, not at all sharing the thought process that let to such a statement.
âCan you even afford that many orchids? Flowers are surprisingly expensive you know.â

THE BOYZ (ëëł´ě´ěŚ) - Iâm Your Boy
boltlyâ:
The guy seemed squirrely, like he was up to something. Daryl didnât like it. His eyes narrowed behind hair that was too long for his face, and an unabashed scowl made up the rest of his expression.
Daryl took a step closer, straightening his back as he adjusted his shoulders to open up his chest. Intimidation - thatâd scare something out of this guy. âYâknow, there ainât much I hate. But what I do hate âs somebody lyinâ to my face when I ainât even threateninâ âem.â Another step. âSo lemme ask again. You got somethinâ you wanna say?â The tone of voice used made it clear he wouldnât ask again, and that if there wasnât anything else, this guy should just move on.
Welp. That didnât seem to work well with the other -- in fact it seemed that the suspicious aura had only increased. It wasnât like Ahn considered himself some hero of justice and honestly all that drew him into mysteries was his own curiosity and his dislike for being kept out of stuff. And also because he was trying to not let down the people who cared for him. So technically he didnât have to react on seeing a stranger he found suspicious, but the whole thought of what if -- what if there were some hidden plans that could have been prevented otherwise? Then heâd just feel bad about it.
âReally!â he whined back, slightly offended that he was disregarded so easily. The fact that the guy so obviously tried to scare him off by seeming more intimidating only caused Ahn to become even more wary: despite how it might seem, he wasnât actually one to be easily intimidated. Beside it wasnât like he was lying. âI donât have anything to say, so I donât know what youâre on about.â Bottom lip shot into a pout for a brief moment, it didnât take long before Ahn stuck out his hand, making sure it wasnât covered by the sleeve for once. âI think weâre getting off on the wrong leg here. Iâm Lee Ahn!â
