a balancing act

Like how in Manitoba, we have sand dunes in the Spruce Woods Provincial park

They just kind of hang out in the middle of the prairies.

Then there’s the desert in Drumheller, Alberta, complete with wild cacti:

And then there are the rain forests in British Columbia:

…where you can find cute little fluffies like the Spirit Bear.

And then of course we have the tundra we’re so famous for.  It looks a little different in the summer though:

but  in the winter it looks just like you think it would

Then, of course, the Rockies and all their many, many lakes

There’s the fjords in Newfoundland

Our boreal forests look particularly stunning in the fall

We even have beaches…really nice ones too!

Remember that everyone has their insecurities, love yourself because life it’s too short to be sad about how you look.

Ke$ha is a perfect example of how the media loves to make intelligent girls seem dumb and bitchy even though they are actually smart and caring. Ke$ha isn’t far from being a feminist icon but the media continues to label her as a dumb drunk party girl.

striped icebergs form as meltwater refreezes in crevasses atop glaciers before air bubbles can become trapped in the ice, which is later calved into icebergs, or when supercooled seawater freezes inside cracks beneath an ice shelf, which then becomes visible when the iceberg breaks off and flips.

over time, the weight of accumulated snow contorts and curves these blue bands of ice, as does erosion from waves and wind. dust and volcanic ash falling on the iceberg can darken the ice, while dissolved organic compounds entering from below can shade it towards cyan.

accumulated snow also compresses air bubbles trapped in the iceberg, thus preventing them from otherwise interfering with the passage of light. and because water absorbs photons from the red end of the visible spectrum much better than the blue end, bubble free ice takes on a blue colour.
