Finally, in a low whisper, he said, âI think I might be a terrible person.â For a split second I believed him - I thought he was about to confess a crime, maybe a murder. Then I realized that we all think we might be terrible people. But we only reveal this before asking someone to love us. It is a kind of undressing.

u r a beaut & ur hair is immaculate! what products do u use if u don't mind me asking?
you are kind!for the last year, I've been washing with the DevaCurl decadence no-poo and conditioner, and putting in Shea Moisture (yikes) coconut & hibiscus curl smoothie, DevaCurl's coconut curl cream, and organix argan moroccan oil when I get out of the shower! and I let it air dry or dry when I sleep (in a silk scarf)! I know that Deva Curl's products are p expensive - I had been eyeing them for a year or so and a friend let me sample some of hers and I really liked it. Then, they were having this massive sale of certain bulk packages bc they were rebranding, so I got all 3 of my products in a bundle at like 40% off? For me it has been worth it!

Trackwomen, 1943. Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company
Series: Women Working In Industry, 1940 - 1945. Record Group 86: Records of the Womenâs Bureau, 1892 - 1995
March is Womenâs History Month! Women have shaped this countryâs history in more ways than we can count. Long before Rosie the Riveter joined the war effort in the 1940s, women earned wages to support themselves and their families. This series of posts celebrates the diversity of womenâs labor, ranging from industry to agriculture to folklore and beyond.Â
This archival series (Women Working In Industry, 1940 - 1945) contains images depicting women and their contributions to the war effort during World War II. The photographs show women for the first time on a mass scale and from every social and economical background preforming jobs that have been traditionally considered as menâs work. In addition to the clerical and secretarial fields, women are seen working in the aircraft industry, the metal industry, ordnance, the railroad, the shipyards, as well as the military services. There are approximately 94 different occupations shown in this series where women were performing the work.
This monthâs Womenâs History series comes via Nora Sutton, one of our interns from the Department of Stateâs Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS) program. Nora is finishing her Masterâs in Public History at West Virginia University this semester.
Such an amazing look into history â Meg
Put the word out and spread it please!!!!!!
When you're out..
Make sure you switch up your routine like how you get home or what time⌠donât be predictable for the people keeping track.
Walk with purpose like you know where you are and where youâre going even if you donât.
Have your keys in hand before youâre at your car or home so you wonât be standing there fumbling.
Have your phone charged and ready but donât walk with your head down looking at your phone!!! I see this so much đ§.. and keep your location on.
Spin around fast every now and then just to see if anyoneâs been watching, averting their gaze, or following you.
Someone need help? They break down? Need help with groceries? If youâre alone that ainât your business, keep it moving. Thatâs how you get snatched.
Turn your music down or off so you hear around you. Pay attention to whoâs around and for how long. Donât be afraid to make eye contact to communicate âI remember your faceâ.. you can even speak.
Donât put your kidâs name on their stuff because all someone has to do is call their name and say âJohnny your mom said come over hereâ .. same with you donât fall for that.
Stay where a lot of people are, like, try not to be standing alone at night at a bus stop.. or walking to class on a deserted path with alleys or bushes, you know?
Donât flash pricey things. Donât leave it out in the open in your car. Donât hold/count money in public.
Donât meet up alone with someone you just met online or someone you just met periodâŚ.. people LIE and fake whole personalities and life stories.. itâs EASY especially if they want you for a reason. Have a plan.
Learn some type of self defense and donât be afraid to permanently injure/kill if need be. Also, I hear yelling âfireâ gets more attention than âhelpâ. Go figure.
Which is why if you see something weird happening with someone else or hear them yell in distressâŚ. use your phone to call someone or take a pic, something. Pay attention not just for you, but for others. Never know what youâll catch.
Also remember that it doesnât matter who you are, you have enemies. You donât always know who they are.
You should share this for people in DC and close to you!!
Black Community we have to be careful. Protect our Girls! Spread this!Â
I see this shit all the time here in Compton đĄ
I see these in California to
