I am plotting the downfall of my coworker, but he doesn’t ever open the tumblr, so I think I can speak freely here.
As a promotional event, we are doing a Summer Reading Quest (get your own Quest board at offbeatbooks.com/quest ), and all of the employees of the store (myself, Madison, Lindsi, and Will) are participating for fun. The idea is to get bingo, but of course after seeing his Quest Board, Will declared he would fill the whole thing by the end of the event September 21st. I wish to beat him to it. Out of spite ---He ALWAYS reads the most out of us, and I think he needs to be taken down a peg.
I think my first book will be Theory and Practice by Michelle de Kretser for “book that won an award in 2025 or 2026” since its been on my tor and it won the Stella Award. Please give me any recommendations you have for books that correspond to the prompts! I will destroy him (in our fun and adventurous Summer Reading Quest). I will keep everyone updated on my progress.
