“duh! my beloved, i’m gonna need you to stream ‘ain’t shit’ by me. let me know if there’s anywhere you’ve been wanted to go i’m not gonna lie there’s some shit i’ve been dying to try in ibiza and columbia so... i’m gonna need you to be ready for complete and utter chaos all summer with me. no sleep, uber, club, ‘nother club, ‘nother club, plane, next place, no sleep, no fear.”

Doja: is it bad that i didn't cry LMAO i think i was just way too happy to be out the house. but at one point during reception i did look over at the bride and groom and see them literally glowing with happiness, i did get a lil teary eyed ngl that shit was so cute

doja had just gotten out of the blunt rotation and freshened up quickly in the bathroom before rejoining the reception. she grabbed herself a fresh glass of champagne, was making her way towards the dance floor when she felt somebody collide with her from the side. the crystal flute slipped right out of her grasp and hit the floor, somehow it didn’t shatter but the drink itself was done for. thankfully she hadn’t gotten any on herself or on the girl she’d just bumped into, who she recognized after a second as actress ‘lily something’ while being too intoxicated to recall her last name. “it’s okay, i wasn’t looking either!” she admitted, “it’s all good, let’s go get more.” she insisted, linking arms with her like they were automatically friends now because she was on that level of drunk, “we’ll go together.”

“i don’t think that’s bad at all- it’s what you’re supposed to be doing right now, sorta? but i  feel you, i’ve been on a ‘hiatus’ too sorta while i’m recovering from surgery, it’s the most time off i’ve had in so damn long and i don’t know what the fuck to do with myself. i do have that nagging feeling like i should be getting shit done even though i’m literally supposed to be resting. basically it sounds like you and i need to lay by the pool and just chill out, fr.”

it’d been what felt like forever since doja had gotten to go out given how cooped up at home she’d been while recovering from her summer-altering tonsil surgery. she was beginning to go a bit stir crazy (it showed in her recent behavior while on live) and found joe and natalia’s wedding to be the perfect excuse to go do some schmoozing and boozing. it was bittersweet, however, given that it was her first time since she’d gotten her new puppies that she was leaving them in the trusted care of her assistant. still she was enjoying herself, dressed to the nines with a glass of champagne in each hand, dancing and mingling when she happened to glance over and see  rosé. “ayyye! you look hot.” she complimented her right out of the gate, moving over to greet her properly with a hug, careful not to slosh any champagne. “i am having fun.” she downed the rest of one of her glasses without smudging her lipstick. “i feel like i didn’t even know how much i needed to go to a party until i got here, i didn’t realize how much i’m that one tik tok sound lately- you know, the reba theme? a single mom who works two jobs...” her voice morphed into a perfect impression of the country crooner, “that’s actually me.”
