Okay this is going to sound dumb but I was discussing this with my friend and heâs nice enough to point out things that donât look right so if this looks weird to you I am so sorry

today, 2 native american women, one openly lesbian, were elected, as well as 2 muslim women, the first black woman in mass., and, in oklahoma (my state), a seat that has been red since 1975 has now been turned to blue. among many, many more. this is an amazing accomplishment for us, as women and as a growing, ever-expanding society. be proud.Â
i know that the janitor fellow on rynxâs music video is most certainly not delirious but i canât help but let my imagination run wild with me, lol, and for the record, if youâve not seen or listened to iâm alright, do it now!!!Â
âAn ordinary man will do the impossible to save somebody he loves,â Evan says, sneers, and thereâs blood discoloring his teeth, making him look feral and ferocious even as heâs tied to a chair with a gun pressed to the back of his head, arguably on the verge of death. âJonathon is no ordinary man.â
itâs not technically the entire chapter, but itâs what iâve got written so far!!! if youâre feeling some type of way, be sure to let me know what you think, lol. enjoy!
[all other parts are here]
Jon follows behind Luke and Ryan as the rest of the crew â minus Juliette; she came in with both Vanoss and Tyler but has since then disappeared to somewhere or another, and Jon almost feels as if heâs lost a security blanket â file toward the heist room, and he isnât exactly sure what it is that he was expecting to be seated in when he heard the order to head toward the place, but it definitely isnât this.Â
The room is big, round; there are windows in the front, floor-to-ceiling like the ones in the bedroom Jon slept in, and theyâre overlooking the deep blue ocean. The waves are intense this morning, and theyâre breaking over the sharp rocks below, foamy and heady and distantly loud. Thereâs a large circular table in the middle as well as a detailed map of the city on either side of the walls; itâs large, and there are certain places marked here and there that Jon canât make out very well where heâs sat, squished between Luke and Ryan as they sit facing the windows.Â
He makes a mental note to perhaps sneak around the abbey and do a little snooping; he wants to know whatâs old, whatâs new, and what makes this gang tick before he gives them his all.Â
Vanoss moves to the head of the table â if you can call it that: itâs really just the center of the table, facing away from the windows â and stands, with his thick arms crossed across his chest while he waits patiently for everybody to have a seat and become the orderly criminals theyâre supposed to be.Â
Jon stays silent and drinks everything in, mind running a mile a minute as he drops from this and that and back to this again and again in an attempt to simply understand the complexities of this ragtag group of friends with happy trigger fingers.Â
One everyoneâs sat and respectively quiet, Vanoss looks toward Wildcat. âGood news or bad news first?â he asks, with a kind of crooked smile that Jon would love to see again. And again and again and again.Â
Wildcat shrugs. âTheyâre big boys, they can handle the bad news first, I think,â he replies, crossing his arms over his broad chest. Heâs handsome in a kind of geeky way; his glasses are more wire than plastic, like the usual fashion, and his cheeks are a bit chubby and heâs tall, taller than even Jon himself, and heâs always been a sucker for a man that he has to look up to. âAnd if they whine about it like pussies, make âem stay behind and clean the abbey. Itâs looking a little dusty, anyway.âÂ
âFuck off, Tyler!âÂ
âWatch your mouth, Mini, before I put it to good use.âÂ
âIs that a promise?âÂ
âOnly if you want it to be, baby.âÂ
Vanoss snorts and rolls his eyes; Jon is only a little bit ashamed to admit that his eyes havenât left the leaderâs figure since this entire debacle began. âIf you two are finished eye fucking each other, I think itâs time we explain the next mission to everyone.âÂ
Things get serious after Vanoss stops speaking; Jon can feel the difference, the shift in Luke and Ryanâs demeanors beside him, and he risks looking at the both of them from the corner of his eye to see if theyâre as affected by the sudden tension in the room as he is.Â
Vanoss clears his throat. âAs we can see, weâve got ourselves a new face in the room,â he begins, and faces Jon, motions to Jon. His smile is soft, gentle, sweet â Jon is dark and bitter and dumb.Â
âYeah, I know! Heâs in my seat!âÂ
Luke snorts. âFuck off, Brian,â he calls, and itâs mean but itâs nice at the same time and Jon just doesnât understand how thatâs possible â just doesnât understand how itâs possible to be an asshole to people youâre in a gang with and then not have to worry about getting your throat slit when you lay your head down to rest. âThis ainât kindergarten and we donât have assigned seatings.âÂ
Brian giggles. âEvan does.âÂ
âAnd so do I,â Tyler says, raising a brow. âGot a problem with that?âÂ
Brian shakes his head and laughs again, crossing his arms over his chest. âNah,â he answers. âYou and Evan have the worst view in the room.âÂ
Tyler balks, a bit red-faced from the exasperation, and heâs handsome, adorably, at this moment, and Jon feels a stirring in his stomach because he is just now realizing the amount of attractive men he is surrounded by. Itâs a strange sort of heaven, full of testosterone and attitudes. And gunpowder; the stench of it is heavy in the air on this level, nearly overtaking the ancient scent of time and dust and history. Â
âBrian, I swear to God if thatâs some kind of pickup line for your husband ââÂ
âYouâre just mad you donât have the balls to ask Mini out!âÂ
Beside Brian, his husband Brock sighs and shakes his head, kind of like an exasperated parent, reaching beneath the table with his hand and apparently grabbing Brianâs; Jon watches the way the humor leaves Brian, as if evaporating water on a hot blacktop, and is replaced with pure and raw affection, adoration as he turns to look at the man he loves.Â
Jonâs hit in the chest, hard. He had that â he had that, and then his father fucked it up, and he wants it again. Yeah, he wants it again. Because itâs hard not having something that you relied on so heavily; losing Lauren, losing his son was worse than any kind of withdrawal he ever had to go through.Â
âIf weâre finished with that, Iâll just get started,â Vanoss begins, but thereâs no malice in his tone either and Jon tries to remember what it feels like to not be living in a constant cloud of confusion. âAs most of us know, Tyler and Craig have been undercover for a few weeks, trying to infiltrate the gang thatâs been distributing drugs all over Los Santos. Not much leeway has been made, as we all know, too, because of how tight-knit and isolated and cautious with their dealings, but I think we just got a big break.â Vanoss looks at Jon, then. âHow much are you comfortable with them knowing, Delirious?â
Jon balks, tries not to show just how shocked and unsettled he is at the question Vanoss tossed at him; in all his years, he has never been in the same proximity of a gang leader who asked and considered what his crew thought before continuing. It makes Jon feel as if⌠as if he has been missing out on something that heâs never had before. Or, at least, hasnât had in a very, very long time.Â
âEverything,â he replies, meeting Vanossâs eyes. Even from their distance, just shy of ten feet, Jon can see the darkness in them â and he likes that. It kind of matches the darkness in his own, and it makes him feel a bit more human, too, to see another person cultivate such blackness. He doesnât feel alone.Â
Vanoss nods in his direction once, before spreading his hands on the countertop of the table, leaning over it and grabbing everyoneâs attention with his commanding aura. He clears his throat, and Jon watches, struck dumb with admiration. And a bit of attraction.Â
A bit?
A lot.Â
âAll of us know Delirious, know of his reputation and how he has pledged himself to no gang and no leader. Heâs a wild card, a man who will not wear any kind of leash that is put on him. But something has happened, and he has come to us about it.â Vanoss stops, then, and meets Jonâs eyes. âDo you want to explain whatâs happened?âÂ
Jon swallows, and wishes to shake his head, to decline that offer, because heâs never been the best with words and especially when heâs pushed in front of an audience he isnât comfortable with just yet, but he finds that he is nodding his head before his mind can catch up to his mouth.Â
âI was attacked, and thatâs not weird. Thatâs actually pretty normal, even considering I didnât have my mask with me.â Heâs worked so hard to keep his face hidden; here, now, he feels naked in a way that he hasnât in a decade. They can see his face â they can see the scars, and the startling contrast of his eyes: one as blue as a cloudless sky, the other the color of the horizon right before you descend into hell. âThey ambushed me, dragged me into an alley, and tried to beat me up. I got loose from them before much harm could be done but itâs still⌠weird.âÂ
From there, Vanoss takes over.Â
âI think this new gang distributing drugs around the city are the same gang who approached Delirious last night and asked him to join. Theyâre new â they donât know Delirious, and they donât know of Delirious, either, so this rookie mistake may have just costed them their hard-earned anonymity.â He looks around the table, his eyes raking over every one of the members; in them, a question is being asked that Jon canât understand. âAnd I also think Jon is the key to stopping this piece of shit gang thatâs ruining our city.âÂ
And, as soon as those words are spoken, all hell kind of breaks loose, and Jon wants to evaporate like rain water in the summer when the sum comes out and intensifies the heat of the afternoon, leaving the world a sweltering mess of sweaty humidity.Â
âEvan ââÂ
Jonâs chest stings. He didnât expect âÂ
âI know that Delirious isnât exactly somebody we would have considered before, but ââÂ
âNo fucking shit.â Itâs Tyler; Jon flicks his gaze upward, was not aware that it fell onto the glossy surface of the table while Vanoss was speaking and the others began to interrupt and display their disgust and distrust. Tylerâs looking at him with hatred, with malice in his eyes; Jon doesnât flinch because he isnât scared and this is not the first time that somebody has expressed their hatred so vividly. âYouâre not exactly rainbows and sunshine, dude. Youâre a fuckinâ killer. I remember what you did to that family, with those kids â youâre fucked in the head, and Iâm not happy to have you in my home right now around the people I love.âÂ
Jon looks away from Tyler, keeps his head down. He knows what everyone in this room thinks of him â of course he does. He would be an idiot to not. Even Vanoss himself, no matter how gentle and kind he was last night, considers Jon a threat. And they have every right to: he isnât a good guy, he isnât somebody that one would sleep with their back turned to. He is tainted â he is the closest thing to a demon that this world has ever seen.Â
But itâs different, in a sense, when you hear it laid out so bluntly, so brashly, in front of you.Â
But he isnât scared. He hasnât been scared in a long, long time. Because they donât know him â they now of him, know of the things that he has done and of the things that he has had to do to survive, but they donât know him. None of them do.Â
And one man having a fit over the inconvenience of two unlikely parties coming together for allied assistance in a mutual fight does not terrorize Jonâs dreams like watching the blood squirt from his childâs throat did. There is nothing in the world that can scare him anymore, least of all a big kid throwing a hissy fit as if they were a group of friends on the playground at school discussing the politics of the school and who gets to sit next to who.Â
âYou think I donât know that? You think I donât know more than half of you in this room are shittinâ your britches because Iâm here and would probably cream your pants at the thought of being able to tell the whole city that youâre the one who killed Delirious?â Jon smirks crookedly as he meets Tylerâs eyes; heâs not stupid. He knows exactly whatâs going through Tylerâs head. âI know youâre scared of me. I know everybody in this room is scared of me. Even Vanoss, and he tries so goddamn hard not to show it.â Jon catches a gleam of Vanossâs grin from the corner of his vision, and he isnât sure what to think about that. âBut Iâm here, and Iâm the best lead you have on something youâve apparently been working on for a while, and Iâm not going anywhere until we figure out just who in the fuck thinks they have a right to hurt our city.âÂ
âThis isnât your city.âÂ
Jon turns his head and looks at Brian. âThis is my city.â He blinks. âAnd this is your city, too. Weâre not fuckinâ six anymore. Learn to share.âÂ
Beside Brian, his husband Brock fights to hide his grin after allowing Jon to see it. It makes Jon feel a little bit better for cursing the crew. Â
Tyler crosses his arms and clears his throat, gathering Jonâs attention once again. âWhy should we trust you?âÂ
Jon licks his lips and stands; he lifts his leg, sets his foot on the table, and pulls his pant leg up over his boot. Inside the worn out boot is an untraceable phone heâs had for years, created specifically for him by the same woman who manufactured his fatherâs years ago, and on it is every single number, every single name, every single bank transaction, every single request he has had in the decade of this hard life heâs been living.Â
He slides the phone across the table. âIn all the years Iâve been killing the people that nobody else wants to, I have declined every single offer placed on any one of your heads.â No matter the price, no matter the promise, no matter how fucking glorious hundreds of thousands of dollars are â these are good people, and Jon doesnât hurt good people. âItâs all on that phone. Youâre welcome to do with it whatever you wish. I donât need it right now.âÂ
The room is silent after that; Jon can faintly hear the uneven breathing of the crew as well as the waves as they crash against the rocks below the large windows. He keeps his eyes on Tyler â Tyler, who slowly uncrosses his arms and reaches for the phone, picks it up and holds it in his hand and stares at it as if Jon has just given him the key to every secret in the universe.Â
On a whim, Jon moves his eyes toward Vanoss; he sees that Vanoss has his gaze trained on Jon with a gentle, soft smile. His face is smooth, undisturbed â he doesnât look like the leader of a deadly gang, doesnât look like a person who can slit your mouth from ear to ear in order to give you a permanent smile because youâre the âfunny manâ before he runs the blade across your jugular.Â
He just looks like a dude. Like a guy. Like somebody Jon would love to take out, would love to talk to, would love to get to know; like somebody that the other Jon, the Jon that lives in his head and not his life, would have.Â
And it makes him sick. That he doesnât have what the Jon in his head does, that he will never have what the Jon in his head does. And he tears his eyes from Vanoss and settles them back on Tyler because at least when heâs staring into the icy glare of Tyler he isnât reminded of everything that he used to have, of everything that heâll never have again.Â
âIâm not here to fight. Iâm not here to kill you. Iâm not here on some sort of mission from another gang, and Iâm not here to join, either.â Jon feels Luke and Ryan move on both of his sides, just a little; a bristle, if one would even call it that. âIâm just here for help in catching the dumbasses that are fuckinâ up our city and asking for my help in doing that.âÂ
Itâs silent for a moment, till Vanoss clears his throat. âAny more objections in Delirious helping us for a while?âÂ
Glances are shared, glares are thrown, whispers are passed from ear to ear, but nobody says anything and for that Jon feels some type of relief that he wasnât sure he was capable of experiencing.Â
âAll right, then,â Vanoss says, spreading his hands on the table and leaning forward. âHereâs whatâs about to happen.âÂ

Okay so I know that it has been a really long time since Iâve posted something and I know some are still waiting for me to continue âOn Thin Iceâ but I havenât found the inspiration to do that just yet.
Instead I had this idea for a one shot. I donât know if itâs long enough to justify a âread moreâ but just in case anyone doesnât want to bother scrolling past this, Iâll just do it and hope it works. ^.^
BUT(T) I reeeeeeealllyyyy hope that you read and enjoy it :D
If you do, please let me know by liking, commenting and reblogging this. It really helps! :)
âHey, man I saw your videos and I think theyâre really neat. Iâm a gaming youtuber too and I think it would be cool if we could do a collaboration one day! Please let me know if youâre up for it!
Thanks,
Jonathan (Delirious)â
Evan read the message for the first time on a Thursday evening, right after coming home from the rink and even now, years later he remembers being intrigued by the name.
Delirious.Â
He searched him on Youtube and sure enough, there he was. Evan had then spent a lot of time watching Deliriousâ content, deciding that it was definitely worth a try and messaged him back the next day.
âSure, what do you wanna play?â
Leaning back in his chair, Evan had wondered, what kind of person Delirious would be.
Evan had learned pretty quickly that it was incredibly difficult to describe H2ODelirious with only a few words. Special. Kind. Crazy. Thoughtful.
Mysterious.
That was a word that often crossed Evanâs mind when he was thinking about the man that had quickly become a close friend.
Friend.
They had only known each other for a few months but saying that Jonathan was an acquaintance or even a colleague didnât feel right.
Delirious could make Evan laugh like noone and nothing else. He could lighten up any recording session. His crazy laugh filled the Canadian with joy. It was safe to say that Jonathan never failed to make Evanâs day extraordinary.
Evan started looking forward to every recording with the masked youtuber. Sometimes he sat eagerly in front of his monitor, waiting for Delirious to join the skype call, nervously glancing at the icon next to Deliriousâ name.
Sometimes, while he was waiting for Jonathan to wake up and jump online, Evan wondered what Delirious looked like.
The first time, Evan met Jonathan was on a Saturday at Tylerâs house.
If you asked any of the guys today, what the meeting was like, theyâd all have a lot to say.
Tyler would tell you that it had been âfucking pissing all day and Kino started playing in the mud. Got the shit all over the carpet. As if hosting my idiot friends wasnât work enoughâ. He would then proceed to proudly tell how he bested Delirious in a drinking game right before passing out in the dogâs bed.
Anthony would tell you a lengthy story about the time Jonathan had a drunk dance-off with him and that he still canât get over the fact that Delirious knows how to twerk.
Smitty vividly remembers teaching Delirious how to twerk, hours before the dance-off. Jonathan had made him swear, he would never tell Panda that he had cheated.
Nogla would smile and confess that he took a picture of Evanâs face the moment he first saw Jonathan.
Evan, on the other hand would only tell you about one thing.
How incredibly blue his eyes were.
While everyone had been cheering, while Anthony hugged the now unmasked youtuber, officially welcoming him into their group, while Smitty was checking out the older manâs shoes, while Tyler tried to keep Kino from tackling Jonathan, while Nogla was grinning at the picture he just took, while all of that was happening, Evan had only stared at his best friend.
Faintly he remembers wondering, what Delirious would feel like.
Evan had never been a hugger. Even today, meet-and greets being the exception, there are only a few people who have the privilege of getting a hug from Evan. It took the Canadian about 0.1 seconds after embracing Delirious for the first time to decide that the older man was one of those few elected.
Hugging Delirious was warm. His skin was soft against Evans cheek and he would never admit to it but Jonathan swears that he had noticed Evan shuddering when the American had hugged him back.
Hugging Delirious was weird. Theyâd known each other for years but they had never been this close before. Nevertheless, both had known the second they saw each other that a handshake would not be enough. If Evan had to be honest, even the hug had not been enough.
Hugging Delirious was great because he had just the right stature for Evan to wrap his arms around him and rest his head on the other manâs shoulder, brushing their cheeks together for a split second.
Hugging Delirious was like coming home.
When they pulled apart, Evan stopped for a moment, let his hands rest on Jonathanâs shoulders and tried to memorize every detail of his face. He had the irrational fear that as soon as he let Delirious go, his friend would disappear.
While his eyes roamed over his face, he couldnât help but let his gaze linger over the older manâs lips.
Unvoluntarily blushing, Evan couldnât help but wonder what Delirious would taste like.
The thought didnât leave his mind for the rest of the day, it was always at the back of Evanâs head, taunting him. Daring him.
Seeing Delirious in the dance-off with Anthony didnât help that situation.
Not knowing, what to do about his confusing feelings, Evan had snuck out of the room while the others were playing a drinking game. Well, Tyler and Delirious were playing the game. Nogla and Anthony had already lost and were loudly cheering for their friends while Smitty had fallen asleep on the couch.
Evan had sought refuge on the front porch and sat on one of the large benches, playing with his phone while listening to the rain and thinking about Delirious.
He was so lost in his own head he first didnât notice the door next to him opening. He only snapped out of it when he felt someone sitting down next to him.
He looked up.
His heart skipped a beat when he recognized Jonathanâs face.
âWho won?â He managed to ask.
âWildcat.â
âI thought you were winning. What happened?â
âI gave up.â
âWhy?â
âBecause I want to talk to you.â
âAbout what?â
Delirious shrugged.
âI donât know. I just want to talk to you. I always do.â
Evan tilted his head to the side.
âWhy?â
âWhy are you asking so many damn questions man?â
âI donât know, Jon, I just⌠sometimesâŚâ
âSometimes?â
Evan inhaled deeply.Â
Years later, after hearing the story, Brock would say that in this moment, Evan had been incredibly brave.Â
Brian would disagree and tell you that in this moment, Evan had been incredibly stupid.
But bravery and stupidity aside, Evan did what he did.
âSometimes⌠I wonder.â
And before Jonathan could ask what he was wondering about, Evan leaned closer, effectively shutting the American up.
Evanâs gaze fell from Jonathanâs eyes to his lips as he leaned in even more, closing the gap between their faces, finally getting the answer he had been looking for the entire day, ever since Jonathan had stepped into Tylerâs house.
As he felt Jonathan slowly kissing him back, he wrapped his arms around him and blissfully wondered what a life with Delirious would be like.
And thatâs it. Like I said, please let me know what you think about this and if you want to, check out my other works. The link to a list of my works (not updated yet, sorryyy) is in my bio.
