What do yall call your trainer? Like āMr.ā Or āMrs.ā Or āCoachā. Last name? First name? Combination? Nickname? I feel like everybody down south just straight up says their trainerās first name, but I come from a smaller more personal barn. My trainer is just āLauren.ā
So what do yall call your coaches?
by his first name
First name, but I refer to one of my ex trainers as "my coach" when I talk about her (not to her) because she was the coach of my high school's equestrian team
I remade my blog

Took the roommate for a pony ride today š
Yaāll should submit me some good looking QHās with good conformationĀ
Wish I was home and could take some pics of my coach's QHs. They're all pretty nice confo wise, not perfect for sure but much better than most of the QH monstrosities you see. I'll check if I have any good pics of hers :)
I have a question
How many of Yall (English riders ) use rope halters?
I use both rope and nylon. (Rope for the mares, and nylon for the geldings.)
I use a rope halter for groundwork days, but a leather halter for just leading in general.

Grooming = bonding. Daily grooming sessions do more than keep the Clydesdales clean and tidy, they bond the horse with their handler.
I love this because I feel like even the non equestrian can take a moment and see the balance required to smoothly jump a fence.
Always reblog
yes! you can SEE the riderās weight shifting backwards to stay with the horseās center of balance⦠while also keeping a pretty still lower leg, the delicate matter of how much release is necessary without losing the bit completely, flat/straight back, looking to the next fence and the one after that, talking the horse into doing something that is completely unnatural for their species, CONTROLLING A 1000 ANIMAL WITH A BIT OF LEATHERā¦..Ā
yeah, ok. letās see you do better.
With all the talk of mustangs on tumblr now, it really surprises me how no one has mentioned Cloud.
Cloud is a 1995 mustang stallion who rose to fame when his life was captured and documented by Ginger Kathrens from the moment of his birth to the present. You can read more about Cloudās story in the link above, and find out more about The Cloud Foundation.Ā
However, one thing that really captures my attention with Cloud is his conformation. He is probably around 15 hh (Iāve never been able to find out his height), and yet his hooves look absolutely huge. He reminds me of muscle-horse-appreciationās Falkor, with those huge feet (and with his pretty color). And though he is quickly approaching twenty, Cloud still has his own band of mares and (to my knowledge) is still breeding. If you look at his legs, it looks like he has a good amount of bone and fairly sized joints. The only fault I can even find with him is that he has a slightly long back - but even with his age, thereās barely any sign of a sway (of course, these photos might not be very recent).
Heās a stunning animal, and I think he deserves much more attention.Ā
thehorsethief, I think youāll appreciate this guy.
HOW FREAKINā BEAUTIFUL! :D
CAN I HAVE?! no? well fine.
Galaxy horse
Does anyone know what color this would be? Doesnāt look like an appy (no spotted skin on nose, no prominent whites in eyes). Maybe vitiligo? Iāve seen plenty of horses with just a few random white spots caused by that, but never this many? Regardless this horse is incredibly lovely
rabicanomare
could this be a darker rabicano?
I want to say no on the rabicano. Rabicano looks like white stretch marks to me. Though if the horse had a skunk tail then part of it could be. They look like a ton of birdcatcher spots. Wish we had a full shot of this one.
It's hard to see in this picture, but if you look towards the back end of the horse it looks like it has a bit of a blanket. So some form of appaloosa coloring or a mix of patterns Could be an appy X since it doesn't seem to have spotted skin? (idk much about appys, just going of the look of the coat)

Liam's people passed because he was too "young" and needed something they could event right now
ā¦.. He turned 3 on Saturday. What
I just donāt get people
People are strange. You tell them exactly how old/tall the horse is (well, responsible sellers do, which I'm 100% sure you are) and they still back out at the last minute for something like that. Weird.Ā
The moment of truth, cantering into the ring, trying to remember all the important factorsā¦
