A lot of ways, the Spirit confessed himself disappointed that his host had not picked up upon the double meaning within his words. Though he expected nothing less, it was still diminishing to know the light did not fully comprehend the shadow.

Bakura felt the searing hate enter his soul and words like venom poured from his lips, “You come to me asking questions about gifts and birthdays… as though we are close. We will never be close.”

Crack. Smash. The apartment lights went out but now they were playing Bakura’s game. It was with sweet irony that he did not possess his host, but rather retreat into the ring. This was often worse since his taunting would lead to nasty migraines for Ryou and Bakura was purposely being cruel.

Ryou gasped as the apartment was cast into darkness. He’s heard the light-bulbs shatter and pop - glass falling to the ground. Usually he he tried to avoid setting the Spirit-off; since he has the means of making life ..incredibly unpleasant for him. Ryou signed - there was no getting used to such a turbulent personality.

Ryou took a few steps towards the direction he assumed was his bedroom - he knew he had some candles laying around there somewhere. Though not stepping on the glass that littered the floor in the meanwhile would prove to be difficult. And the mild throbbing that had already began in his head wasn’t going to make it any easier.

“Spirit - I’m sorry.” He whispered. Perhaps - it was unfair of him to assume the Spirit only held ill-intentions. But letting go of the past wasn’t always as easy as it seemed.
