Hello, my odesingers! I’m Oceanic Muse, an amateur writer passionate about Greek myths and fanfiction.
I often struggle with continuity and rarely finish what I start, but if someone finds inspiration in my ideas, feel free to use them! I only ask for credit. It excites me to see how others interpret or expand my work.

Disclaimer: I’m not fluent in English, so everything you read here, including this post, has been translated using tools such as Google Translate and AI assistance. I don’t mean to offend anyone whose native language is English or those who have studied it; I simply don’t yet have the tools to learn other languages beyond the basics.

1. Personal interpretations: All the fanfics, AUs, and ideas I share here are based on my interpretations and personal analysis. While the original concepts are not always mine (and I will give credit when possible), their development and application are. Please don’t apply other authors’ logic to my work—every writer has a unique perspective, and mine may be very different.
2. Respect for other authors’ work: I have no intention of taking credit for anyone else’s work. My goal is to share my own views and explore ideas I believe other authors haven’t developed or that I’d love to see more often, purely for entertainment and personal enjoyment. I deeply admire the authors in this community and love their works, whether they’ve been abandoned or take literary liberties. My intention is not to compete or discredit anyone, but to add my voice to this creative universe.
3. Creative liberties: I don’t aim for everything I write to be strictly tied to mythological or literary canon. While I enjoy details, timelines, and structures, I also value creative freedom. Different people follow different versions of myths, and that’s what makes each story unique and interesting.
4. Respect for religions: With all due respect to any religion referenced in my content, please understand that some things may come across as offensive or ignorant from certain characters’ perspectives or narratives. The words and actions of my characters do not align with my personal beliefs. This is purely literary.
5. On Hellenic religion: I am writing fanfiction based on Hellenic religion. If you are a Hellenic polytheist, I hope you understand that this is purely an interpretation of these figures as mythological characters, not as religious entities. That is, preexisting characters within a specific context. If they act in certain ways, it’s not personal against anyone but a narrative choice that serves the plot while staying true to their multifaceted and interpretative nature in mythology. I love Greek mythology and culture, and my engagement with them is purely literary.
6. Sensitive content: My approach is to maintain a balance between authenticity in storytelling and respect for readers. For that reason, I avoid explicit NSFW content. However, you may find references to sensitive topics such as SA or physical and sexual attraction, always from a narrative, non-graphic standpoint. These elements serve the plot and character development, not as a reflection of my personal views or intentions. My goal is to tell immersive, realistic stories with as much care and consideration as possible.
7. I am a minor: I appreciate your discretion and understanding.

So I'm pretty sure @anotheroceanid is the og athenide au author so I'm tagging them both out of respect and because you should totally read their stuff as it's amazing!
Persedione Athenide
Goddess of Loyalty and Rebellion, Corruption and Purification, Tranquil Waters and Riptides, Naval Warfair, Fated Ends... Enforcer of Oaths, Mother of Demigods, Patron of Martyrs and Outcasts, Protector of the Broken Hearted
Persedione had been barely formed and out of her Fountain when her Domain of Loyalty was discovered, but it would not be until decades later that its counterpart of Rebellion came to light during a suprisingly vicious slave revolt triggered by the joint efforts of War and Loyalty Rebellion.
Up until then Zeus had been content to allow his Granddaughter her freedom at his Daughters behest, but the revelation of such a dangerous Domain sent him into a paranoid frenzy as he demanded the goddess be brought to heel.
Hera had suggested their son Ares given the two's suprising but amicable friendship but Zeus had rejected the idea of tieing War and Rebellion to one another, convinced that his emotional son would bring out the worst in the young goddess.
No, Zeus decreed that Loyalty would marry a god that complimented her Domain of Loyalty.
And what, he had asked, goes together better than Loyalty and Truth?
Athena had protested, with her stepmother suprisingly supporting her plea but what rights did a mother have when it came to marrying their child off? No, such things were the Fathers decision
Poseidon had easily agreed. The Sea god was fond of his nephew and had mentored Apollo before handing over the Domain of Prophecy. A Domain that Persedione held some talent for though the specifics were still unclear at this time.
Truly, this was a match blessed by the fates!
Not to mention one of his older daughters, Rhode, had also married a sun god/titan and their marriage was one of the happiest in the pantheon. - It would not be long after Loyalties marriage that her sisters own fell to ruin, an ominous forwarning of the fate awaiting the younger goddesses marriage according to some archeologists.
///
Perse knows that her marriage to Apollo will be the death of her.
Apollo thinks he's so clever wording things as he has. Speaking his own vows only after hers rather than in unison and altering them so that there is no fidelity claus all while leaving Persedione trapped.
Given the nature of his Domain of Truth, Apollo would have been just as incapable of cheating or betrayal as herself had he spoken the traditional vows Hera had demanded.
Worse still, asside from herself, only Hera seems to have realised his ploy!
The changes he made were subtle but they left large enough loopholes for him to exploit that the god can do whatever he wishes, all while Persedione is trapped by her own Domain to be loyal and obedient in a marriage that he has ensured will sprout nothing but poisoned fruit.
She could have grown to love him, he's not the Apollo she will know in the future but the edges of him are there.
Perse probably will grow to love him, inspite of his betrayal.
It will make her Fading all the more prolonged and painful.
She can see that she is fated to fade and be reborn as a demigod.
It was never a matter of if she died but when.
Persedione will try to hold out as long as she can, past the end of the Greek period and with any luck through till the end of the Roman one but beyond that? She is not as strong as Hera - and aren't those words something that her future self would never dream of speaking. Limited to only a demi-god's perspective as she will be?
It only takes feeling a god breach one of her Domains for the 1st to understand that the pain is unlike anything she has or will ever experience. If Tartarus will torture her mind and body then assaults on her Domains are wounds of the Soul.
Mortals breaking their Oaths and turn on those they Swore Loyalty to all the time. Most of these acts register as little more than minor static or irritating buzzing, the worst are not dissimilar to cutting your hand on a knife.
They have an effect and the worst offenders must be dealt with lest they repeat their crime or encourage others to act the same but ultimately are easilt forgettable.
When gods act against her Domains its different.
Its like a throbbing, festering wound that never heals; instead slowly rotting you from the inside out unless the offending party truly repents and shows deference. Ensuring that the offender is punished severely enough for her power to feel that the dept is repaid can stemm the damage but it is akin to holding a hot poker to an open woind to seal it closed and calling it healed. Technically effective but bound to leave scars.
The later is far more common than the former, after all, what God would ever apolgise for their crimes?
It is far worse when the perpetraitor is someone close to you.
The first time Poseidon breaks his marital vows not to lie with another behind Lady Amphrites - "call Mother, Darling!" - back after she comes into existence it sends her to her knee's.
She spends... she's not sure how long she spends incapacitated looking back. It could have been hours, but it could just as easily been days before she managed to pull herself together and flash to the one person who will understand and maybe explain what she is feeling and how to handle it.
Hera had been furious at someone daring to intrude in her private quarters, right up until she had seen the state Percy was in.
The woman had been soft, caring, motherly almost as she guided Persedione first to the chaise and then through a series of breathing excercises.
The Goddess had been suprisingly kind but blunt with her explanation, rightly guessing that she did not wish to be coddled.
The revelation that she would need to punish their family for breaking their Oaths and Loyalty in order for the pain to lessen had been a horrifying one and something she had tried to denounce.
Until Hera had explained what the consequences would be should she bottle up her pain and ignore it like Hera had once tried to.
Untreated, the wounds fester and spread like a poison from the Domain to her mind, driving her gradually mad. From there it wouldn't be long before instinct took over and she lashed out in defence to try and fix what was harming her.
In such a state she wouldn't care how many innocents were caugjt in the crossfire.
So long as it dulled the pain, she would do anything.
A truth Hera had learned the hard way.
Whatever punishment she devised for Oath Breakers and Betrayers whilst sane would pale in comparrison to her actions when consumed by the festering rot that would take hold.
Even back then, Hera was rather infamous for her punishments to those that she felt had spit on her domains but the sad truth was that the older goddess hadn't been in her right mind for many of them.
Her reputation had its uses, few gods save the Olympians dared to break their marital vows and risk her wrath. Instead quietly petitioning her to alter their marriages from closed to open and so on.
But that didn't take away the guilt Hera had struggled with at first, nor did it change anything about Zeus staunch refusal to alter their own marriage even as he broke his vows with every other breath.
The two had become close after that day, with may remarking on the strange friendship that had blossumed between the cold queen and the kind hearted Athenide.
Hera had quietly promised to do whatever she could to help her fellow goddess escape being trapped in a similar fate to her own but had carefully worded it to ensure that should she fail it would not count as a broken Oath.
It was a kindess few imparted on her.
The realisation at Persedione's Wedding that they had failed to stop history repeating itself tasted like ash and tears
I published the first chapter in Spanish on AO3. It's nothing special, really, but I feel more comfortable with what I'm writing. I'll figure out how to translate it into English later, don't worry.
That led me to revisit the original fanfic, since my pause, I usually read all the comments from Gmail. I think it was around the time I edited that chapter "Cloudy", which was accidentally translated into Spanish and I had to translate it back into English.
But that's not the point. It's just that—I simply don't have words to express my amazement, my gratitude, my disbelief at the number of hits. 46,414 fucking hits. With 1,583 kudos, 246 comments, and 626 bookmarks. Do you know what that means for an amateur, Latin American writer who's always been told that writing, fanfiction, and Greek mythology are a joke? I really have few, if any, words to say about it because I never truly believed I could get this far. They are literally fulfilling a dream for me. That's... It's too much.
I'm so proud and so grateful, truly, that the only reason I'm not crying is because I don't want to go to school tomorrow with puffy eyes or a headache. I truly love you all so much. You have no idea how much good you did for me during this sort of hiatus I had, and I know I'm being repetitive about it, I'm sorry, but the impact you had during that difficult time for me... It's unforgettable, and lasting, and I love to express it because that's how I experienced it.
I hope you like what I'm doing. I'm always open to messages, comments, emails, anything you want to give your opinion, suggestions, corrections, questions; whatever you want to share with me. In the end, although the work originates within me, I write the narrative thinking of you, and I like to give the best I can, aiming to give you something well-made, beautiful, and to repay you a little for all the good you've done for me.
Literally me:
(this art is from the Grizz's Animatic on YT; "Helpless")
I was bored and playing around with how the canonical Percy Jackson characters reacted to my fanfic. Somehow, Hermes falls for Perseira in every universe. Does Apollo also fall through Perseleia/Perse Athenide in all universes? Dude, I'm dying for fanfics like this to come out, I'm really bad at them.
At the same time, that led me to develop the chapters a bit more. Let's say, to edit them. Not a big deal, but a little. My English clearly failed, so I'm going to focus on the Spanish version, of the chapters I already have, while simultaneously working on chapter ten.
Is it very long? I don't think so.
Did I give a preview? Yes, but I'm not satisfied with what I have, and it wasn't finished.
When am I going to upload it? I have no idea, but hopefully I can by May.
Dude, English sucks. And it's supposed to be one of the easiest languages in the world! How are people supposed to learn to write in a foreign language?
In other news, my life is decent, the chapter is... Well, fine? I'm trying my best, but overall I have little motivation to do anything. Still, I think it's not so bad right now, but as always, the translation is terrible.

Since I resumed writing, I've been developing the Permes relationship more fully. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Hermes's definitive entry into the plot is just around the corner.
However, in my outline, there are still a few chapters before that.
Anyway, I think it's really fun that Hermes and Percy's (Perseira's) perceptions are almost radically different. Well, Percy and all the gods.
I barely remember the Athenide stories I read and drew inspiration from, and I'm in no mood to reread/read anything other than my own work or songs lately, so I'm essentially blind. It's really fun, and refreshing not having the pressure of the original fanfic's structure fresh in my mind. I think I enjoy it more this way. I remember the basic structure very well, but the details are lost in my mind.
Anyway, as I recall, Apollo usually falls in love immediately. Well, Hermes doesn't, so prepare for a delicious slow burn.
Or something similar to slowburn. It's not actually very slow, but for gods, it is.
Btw, I've been feeling better about my ideas lately. Before, when I was active, I thought everything was a big mess, but now I like what I'm doing. All the support I've received has helped me a lot, so I really owe you a lot. You have been really patient and sweet with me and it made, and still makes, me feel very good to know that there are people who like my work.
꣑୧゛🌅→ ❝ADVANCEMENT❞
She dropped the branch. It snapped against the marble. The sound resonated more than it should have, too low, too deep.
—
Even holding a branch that, in any other context, would have been ridiculous, Athenide was impressive.
—
Upon seeing her, Apollo remembered what she had been like in the early days: a fussy, restless girl, with a temperament that challenged him with too much passion during those times.
—
"I found something!" His voice echoed in the silent Olympic hall. His footsteps sounded like a death sentence.
—
Since August 18, 2009, the entire Olympian community had mobilized to find any trace of their supposed savior, Persephone Eira Jackson, who had disappeared along with the remains of the traitor Luke Castellan.
—
And that's only half the chapter! I want my return to be meaningful... Also, in my planned scheme, I want it to be the last one of this arc.
Not me abandoning everything for months because I was mentally unwell due to various things in my personal life.
I'm picking up where I left off and planning the next steps, but slowly. Thank you all for the support I received for the work; it's been tremendous. I'm working hard on it!!
I just forgot I was supposed to post today. I mean, in my country, this is a month of projects and exams, and it's also Student Week, Plus I recently got into a relationship, so I was pretty busy and managed my time with September 21st in mind. I don't know why I thought I was posting on this date. I mean, I'm usually a few hours late, but I've never forgotten the publication date. I was putting together the final details for my boyfriend's Spring Day gift Out of nowhere I remember: "Oh shit, my fanfic."

Okay, let's sit down and think about that unfinished AU of the 7 time-traveling to ancient Greece in Athenide-style.
There are many Percy and friends time-traveling fanfics (not always all 7), but probably only two or three that are actually from Athenide that I know, excluding the Athenide Twins, and maybe others are in planning.
To contribute to this one, because I really find it very interesting, I'm going to propose my own version, and everyone is free to use it or be inspired by it, okay? Just be respectful.
In previous posts I mentioned this AU, which I will call Squad Athenide PROVISIONALLY because I can't think of anything better. I gave a list of 18 half-bloods that appear in the Percy Jackson sagas as the demigods that I would include in a fanfic like this.
There are a LOT of them, so even if you want to use any of my ideas, it's perfectly reasonable to discard most of them.
I've given them names, which you can choose from as you wish. They all have a reason, related to the etymology I discovered for the name. Again, correct me if I'm wrong.
In this AU, Annabeth is NOT called Arsinoe, although I like her a lot. Despite my initial bewilderment, I loved @anotheroceanid's idea of Athenide and Odysseus' daughter, so I made them separate characters since Annabeth will also be time-traveling.
I really like that Percy travels through time with someone, because I really have a hard time not making her a Mary Sue regarding the domains and roles in the myths to be developed. If there are more mixed-race women with her, I can share the duties.
I made a chart to help me organize categorically (character, divine name, "Roman version", domain(s), species/race, parents)
Some of the data, for example, to focus on the Athenide Twins (following my version):
I won't give Percy any information because of possible spoilers.
I think I want to develop this AU with the community in the same way that the Athenide AU has developed. I believe that any ideas that can be born from different minds, rather than just my own, can become fabulous and create something wonderful.
I really want to write something about Percy as the reincarnation of Pyche, based on some fanfics and my own ideas.
Premise:
Psyche dies during her last task, but Eros manages to save their daughter Hedone. She spends much time in the Underworld while the world sings a different story under the influence of Apollo, as revenge.
(I don't picture Apollo as a villain, to be honest. I picture Apollo and Percy/Eros more like Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton than anything else. They both have completely different motivations, reasons, and thoughts. They don't get along, but that doesn't make them strictly evil.)
Pyche is reincarnated as Perseus Jackson as punishment from the River Styx upon Poseidon for breaking his oath and is eventually reunited with Eros.
Percy doesn't remember anything from his past life other than "muscle memory," like a sixth instinct to dislike pigeons, get nervous around seeds, and stuff like that.
Eros recognizes his wife immediately and becomes obsessed with courting her again, regardless of whether she is a man in this life or the likely fatal destiny that awaits him.
Percy is transfem and discovers it along the way, that's what makes writing the hardest for me. I am very afraid of dealing with such a delicate subject as the discovery of sexuality and gender identity with misinformation, prejudice, or in any way disrespectful. I fully support the community, and I am gender fluid myself, but I am fully aware of how different the experiences can be.
I'm not sure I'll write it yet. If any of you are willing to take on my idea, feel free to let me know, because I'd love to read it.
