King Xerxes was king of Persia from 486-465 BC. His wife was Queen Amestris. King Xexes was murdered by Artabanus, who then gave the position of power to his seven sons. According to Aristotle, Artabanus was then killed by Artaxerxes, son of Xerxes and Amestris.

This draws interesting parallels to FMA, where the country of Xerxes was destroyed by Father. Father then created the seven homunculi, and gave the highest position of power in the country to one of his sons, and the other homunculi watched over the Amestrian cities.

Hello petal, that’s a very interesting question! I love anime that make me cry and I found so many of them along my way… but this is a top 5 of the anime that made me cry the most!

5. Violet Evergarden. I think I cried nearly on every episode. It has an incredible way to depict human emotions and it spoke to me on such a deep level. You know I have a controversial relationship with this anime but one thing it has for sure it’s the ability to make me cry A LOT

4. 3-gatsu no lion. Another anime which really spoke to me on a deep level. It creates a connection between the viewer and the main character able to make you physically feel the emotional pain, the hope and everything he goes through. The ending of the first season in particular is truly spectacular and I cried so damn much. 

3. Natsume Yuujinchou. It took me quite some time to get into it but, when I did, it invested me with all the possible feelings. Natsume breaks me up inside, he’s such a good kid who deserved so, so, so much more and not the hell he went through just because he was different. His always pain feels so real and his world is so emotional the slightest thing can make me cry!

2. Kimi no Na wa. Of course, the second place goes to Your Name, I think I cried for 10 solid minutes after I finished the movie. It was such a cathartic experience, I loved it so much. 

1. Angel Beats. And the Oscar for the anime which made me cry the most goes to Angel Beats. I’m not even kidding, I ugly sobbed for the whole last episode and I wasn’t able to stop even when I finished it. But the true cake goes to this scene, one of my favourite scenes in anime history. Watch  it at your own risk:

(The music though. The music fucks me up every single time. Not to mention this is the best Kimura Ryouhei you will ever ear). 

So this is it! I have some honourable mentions though: Undon no Kuni, Daiya, K, Haikyuu, Psycho-Pass, Owari no Seraph, Assassination Classroom and so, so many others!
