my progress~

i wanted to experiment with faces and angles for this piece. i really wanted to stylize rag, jax, and pom in a way that 1) feels like me/a style i could develop into my own and 2) doesn't feel stiff. i think im happy leaving it as is, like a storybook page~

here's some progress pics for the curious! i struggled with rag and pom the most, they both felt a little flat at first.

finally switched rag's hair to curly while keeping the bangs straight. also decided she should hold something, but again her arm still felt stiff. i also made her button eye much smaller, which felt more natural with what i was trying to go for. i finally got pomni's angle, she feels much more dynamic here!

tried exaggerating the swish of ragatha's arm, and it felt good! i think it gave her the softness + movement she was lacking in the beginning. also decided gangle needs a face. felt pretty satisfied :•) and it was all watercolor from here on~
