Locusts??? In My Chocolate????
Haechul!
( ... )
The third questionās response makes him puff up quite a bit. He made a really dumb mistake, but surely someone else has done something similar in their life⦠Well⦠Actually no it is a pretty dumb and really inconceivable mistake. āI think my head is full of locusts more than air. Man, I must have just been caught up in talking. Hit me if I donāt read your responses in the future⦠You have full permission to deck me.ā
The answers to his last question give him relief, and a large sigh escapes Haechul. At least this friend he had ignored for so long has good taste. āThatās a relief, man. I donāt think Iām made for eating either. Probably make someone sick.ā He shudders as he completes his thought.
āReally though what is the extent of things you would eat covered in chocolate? Bugs aside, Iād love some grains and bread and stuff. Add chocolate and itās a little bit better even.ā
Thereās always something amusing about the people who read what Gohn writes outloud. Itās just something about hearing what heās just said repeated, or maybe just the fact that itās nothing like what he imagines his own voice to sound like (or perhaps just how he remembers it). He is plenty patient, though. Propping his head on his fist as he continues to hold the book so that Haechul can read over every sentence and give his responses. He just keeps smiling- waiting. Itās not like this is a bad conversation.
He just shrugs a bit at Haechulās first reaction. He isnāt going to get into talking about such sad times. Heās lucky enough heās alive and heād rather not go too far into details beyond that. So he just waits for Haechul to continue on with the other answers. Besides, they canāt keep conversing about all these things at once. Thatās far to complex, even for Gohn as he writes things. Heād rather just skip a topic now and then.
The second topic is met with the same dismissal.
At the next comment, he just smile wider and gives a soundless laugh. Of course Haechulās head is full of locuts. Gohnās head is the one thatās full of air. Such is the particulars of the way the two of them are fae. Gohnās not one for punching, but he could see himself bonking Haechul in the head with the notebook if he tries to ignore the writing in the future. Itās usually considered rude to interrupt people or ignore them, and in Gohnās mind his writing is him speaking, so itās similar and he should be more confident about it. So he waits for the book to be given back before adding a little.
āIāll bonk you if I have to. No worries.ā
The next part of the topic is back to the silliness that he associates with the other fae- so he just take a moment to tap his pen against his chin. What would he eat covered in chocolate? Well, mint, but thatās sort of thing anyway. The problem is that humanās might think something is odd but Gohn doesnāt even really have to eat human food... So nothing seems too odd to him. He begins to write slowly and turns the book to Haechul once more when heās done.
āI think Iād eat a lot of kinds of bugs because they are small and crunchy? So that could be interesting. But I donāt think I would eat most meats with chocolate because that just seems like it would taste bad. I like mints with chocolate on them? But itās just a flavor thing I think. Human foods are weird.ā
