Above you, the sound of metal clinking against leather was the only noise in the room.

Knightwalker didn’t move from his seat. He sat with one leg crossed over the other, his posture a picture of studied arrogance. He began to wind the excess silver chain slowly around his gloved fist, the links singing a sharp, rhythmic song.

"You dare rebel against me..." his voice was a low, smooth drawl that didn't match the predatory glint in his eyes. He gave the chain a sharp, testing tug, forcing your head up. "Just for a friend like Henri?"

You didn’t look away. Your lip curled back, revealing teeth that were just a bit too sharp, a bit too long for a human like yourself. A low, guttural growl vibrated in your chest — a sound of pure, unadulterated defiance.

Knightwalker leaned forward, his fringe casting a shadow over his face, though his smirk remained visible. He looked delighted by the display of aggression.

"Do you mean to bear your fangs," he whispered, the chain tightening until you had to brace your hands against the floor to keep from being pulled off-balance, "at your master... me?"

Your eyes glowed with a faint, amber light. "You are a title, not a god. Not even invincible."

"In this room, the distinction is negligible," Knightwalker replied. He stood up slowly, the long hem of his coat sweeping the floor like a shroud. He didn't let go of the chain; instead, he shortened the lead, forcing you to rise unsteadily to your feet or be strangled. "After all, you're mine. Mine to love and take care. Mine to train and mold. All mine. Aren't you, my sweet human?"

Perhaps you should have chosen to be strangled and end this agony quicker. But you were always a survivor.

"I would hate to let the others know you're a human too. They would mawl, and bite, and claw and tear you apart. And I would let them, if you misbehave enough."

He stepped into your personal space, the polished toes of his boots nearly touching your knees. He reached out with his free hand, trailing a gloved finger along the line of your jaw, right where the skin met the cold steel of the collar.

"That fire in your eyes is why I haven't broken you yet," The Naberius clan leader murmured, his voice dropping to a dangerous, intimate level. "It’s so much more entertaining to watch you try to bite the hand that holds your leash. Go on, then. Try. I want to see if those fangs of yours can actually draw blood, or if you're all bark."

Your fingers clawed into the stone, the sound of nails scraping against rock filling the silence. The urge to lung was an electric current in their veins, but the Chief's guard patrol calm was a cage of its own.

"One day," you spat, the words thick with the promise of violence.

Knightwalker smirk widened into a genuine, chilling smile. "I certainly hope so. It would be such a bore if you gave up now."

He turned on his heel, the chain rattling as he moved toward the heavy oak doors, dragging the tether and you along behind him.

“Alright! Alright, fine!! We take a break!”

Riddle could hear many cheers. Mainly Ruggie, Floyd and even Kalim. Jamil let out a sigh beside him and went to bring some snacks. Even Azul cheered in his mind.

Silver? Well he's half awake half sleeping.

“That's right! Silver!” Ruggie wakes Silver up. “Wake up, I wanna ask you something.”

“Hm?” He rubs his sleepy eyes. “What is it?”

“Tell us more about your family!” Ruggie said. “Yeah! Tell us tell us!” Kalim added.

“My family?” Both of them nodded.

“We all know Lilia is your adopted father. Tell us more about the others.”

He smiles at them. “You know…I…have a mother”

Silence…

“WHAT!!” The others look at him in shock.

“Lilia has a wife!?” Kalim is the more shocking one.

“But…oh! Is that why he says he needs to master his guitar so he can impress someone back home!”

“When did that happen?” Azul asked. “At SDC!” He exclaims. “Lilia looked excited about it so I asked why he said he wanted to impress someone back home!”

Everyone just “oh”h and “ahh” at his statement.

“But there's this one incident where I can't forget…”

“What incident jellyfish~” Floyd asked. Jade looks like he is preparing to write it down.

“You guys wanna know?” He asked. They all nodded. Yes, even Riddle. “If you are comfortable” he add.

“Very well then. It all happened 10 years ago”

The flashback shows a young Silver and Lilia walking towards the Zigvolt house and being greeted by them warmly.

The young silver-haired boy runs towards the green-haired boy excitedly as they begin to play. Meanwhile, the father and grandfather are talking before the father bids the grandfather goodbye.

“Take care of my son for me Baur! You know what happens if you don't!” Lilia chuckled. “YES GENERAL!” Baur salute.

Lilia just sighs knowing that Baur won't drop the title out of respect.

Enough of that, they all fail to notice how his red eyes seem to sparkle with mischief as he quickly returns home.

It shows young Sebek crying while his grandfather picks him up while nagging him.

“Silver, I trust you can walk back home?” The young silver nodded while smiling.

“Good, I'll see you tomorrow.” Baur then walks away with a crying Sebek.

Young silver swings his wooden sword left and right practising the move that Baur teaches him. As soon as he got home to the cottage he went inside looking for his parents.

“Mama? Papa?” He called out. Usually the house isn't THIS quiet. It is usually filled with Lilia flirting or his mother scolding his father about cooking.

“Mama! Papa!” He called out louder but still no answer. He walked deeper inside.

“Where could they be by now?” He mumbled. Then he saw some lights in one room far away from the other. His innocent eyes lit up.

He rushed to the door and peaked from the gap.

“𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙩…”

Little silver eyes widen at the sight. He saw his father ‘beating’ his poor pregnant mother like she was nothing!

His mother is crying and sobbing asking him to stop and his father has the gut to just smile! The audacity! Can't he see his hurting his wife! A pregnant one at that!

What if his father accidentally hurt the baby inside his mother's tummy!

Silver eyes started to get watery. He quickly rushed back to the living room and picked up his wooden sword and rushed back to the room. He waits for the right moment as he cries silently.

“Lilia! Please stop! It hurts please!! No more!~”

“Just a little more, you can take it right? I'm close!”

“Lilia!!!” You scream your husband's name.

Then, Silver barges into the room and hits Lilia on his side with force.

“Ouch! Stop!” He groaned. He quickly pushes himself down to cover you. Sadly the blanket has been kicked off from the start meaning…

“for the love of Maleanor! Silver! Did you see all that!?” Lilia covers your top with the pillows.

“Lilia! Don't!” You could feel yourself crying from the sudden move. “I'm sorry my dear”

He murmurs.

Silver is crying now begging him to not hurt his momma and baby sibling.

“Silver! She's not hurt! Ok! Don't worry about it” Lilia tries to calm his son down.

“No!! You're a liar! I should have let big brother take mama away from you!”

“Now now Don't be like that”

“I shouldn't have protected you! Big sis is right! You love to hit mama!!”

At this point you couldn't have but let out a cough to hide your laugh. Lilia couldn't think of any more excuses.

“I'm gonna go and call for backup!!” silver immediately rushed outside.

“Wait silver!!”

“You should really clean yourself up… I'm a bit tired so I'm gonna go to sleep.” You mumbled and turned away from him.

“Oh no. You don't!” Lilia carries you to the bathroom. “Nooooooooooooo”

Lilia and you are in the living room. Your swollen stomach is being caressed by your own hand. While Lilia is pacing back and forth.

“W-what if he calls someone he shouldn't! It's late now! I'm gonna look for him!” Lilia takes his coat and prepares to go out when the door slams open.

“WHO DARES TO HURT MY AUNTY!”

“MALLEUS!!” Lilia and you shout.

“Lilia! Is it true you have been hitting my aunty!”

Little silver is hiding behind Malleus as his crying has turned to sobbing.

“Fear not my dear aunty! Your nephew has come to your rescue! Now answer your prince Lilia!”

Just then lightning came from inside the house and struck down Lilia and of course he managed to dodge that.

“Like mother like son!” He mumbled as he dodged another strike.

“Mal stop it! Lilia didn't hurt me!” You immediately went to Malleus' side.

“It just… uhm…” you whisper your activity inside Malleus ears that immediately makes his face turn bright red.

He looks at you and Lilia and immediately hugs you hiding his face on your shoulder.

“Forgive me aunty… I… I should have known”

“Mama!” Silver cries out as he hugs your legs.

“Now what's with the tears and red face?”

A new voice came.

“Lukas…” Lilia says.

A tall man, with the same feature as Lilia came into their views.

A new figure emerged from behind Lukas.

Now it's a girl whose hair has been tied into a ponytail. Who, also in return resembles Lilia.

“We're fine mom. Did that old man make you dry?”

Rachel immediately punched her brother's stomach.

“Lukas! Watch your tone! We have a child here!” You scold your son.

Silver runs to his sister and cries in her arms as she pick him up.

“Papa is so mean to mama and baby!” Rachel just patted silver back to calm him down.

Lukas is still in pain. While Lilia pokes him. Malleus is still embarrassed.

“So that's what happens. Father explained it to me after that. We were a big family.”

“Your mother? Is she truly Malleus' aunty?”

Jamil asked.

“Yes, she wed my father when they were too heartbroken.”

“Heartbroken? From what?” Kalim asked.

“Well—”

“Well that's for another story~” everyone shouted.

“Lilia!” Riddle said.

“I'm here to take silver back to the dorm I hope you don't mind~”

“Oh sure, it's late after all.” Riddle looks at his watch.

Silver gathers his books and walks away. Lilia follows close behind.

“Such an interesting stories you tell them”

“What can I say, it's a traumatic event for me”

Lilia laughs. “I already told you I'm sorry~”

“How can an apology fix a child's innocent mind? You two are bare!”

“Well~”

“Don't!” Silver silenced him in an instant.

Lilia just chuckled. “I be waiting in the dorm lounge for you. Your mother is calling, Malleus is talking to her right now. Better hurry if you don't want me to talk to her to myself~”

“You!!” Silver immediately ran to Diasomnia.

“Mother!” He looked around but there was no sight of Malleus or even Sebek. Then he noticed some fireflies and followed them to Malleus' room.

He knocked and the voice inside told him to enter.

“Lord Malleus, Lilia say you–” his words stuck in his throat. There in front of him is you. “Hello silver~ I'm finally able to leave the castle now~”

Never in his life, he saw you stepping out of the cottage or castle.

Especially when you're Maleficia’s favorite daughter. (Both are her favorite)

“Mom! Are you alright? Why are you here? You should be resting!”

“She's here because of me…”

Silver looks at the new voice.

A young boy with your features but with Lilia hairstyles.

“Lilian!” The boy, Lilian Vanrouge. Is yours and Lilia youngest son. Silver little brother. You know the one in the flashback.

“Dad wanted to show me NRC cause I'm gonna go here in a few years just like you big brother!” He shyly exclaims.

Silver smiles and ruffles the little one's hair.

“Hey stop it!”

Silver laugh.
