Twin Suns changed my brain chemistry

Instead of a cutesie reference to film censorship it was an explicit statement of defiance of Maryland's criminalization gay sex, which was not repealed until 2002. This wasn't a guy saying "Oh they can't put what I do in the movies according to a completely voluntary industry code" he was saying "The State of Maryland wants to put me in jail for being gay and having gay sex."

In just the past two months, Sony has:

Said the PS6 will be more than $1000 at launch

Announced the end of all physical PS game releases

While simultaneously announcing the end of two of their console game stores — ensuring multiple games will die forever

Declared that they are wholly dedicated to (A) leveraging A.I. when making games and (B) creating live-service games above all other game types

Announced that if you bought any movies through their PlayStation Store, over 550 of them will soon be deleted from all users' libraries — with no restitution offered of any kind

Gamers, it is time — to paraphrase Robert Vann — to turn Sony's picture to the wall. Any one of these insults would be bad, and taken alone? Maybe it could be swallowed. But this is an ongoing campaign of disdain towards customers, with each declaration worse than the last.

I strongly believe that if Maul was born female she would be the exact same personality wise and would make the exact same terrible life choices but would have a slightly better relationship with Mother Talzin and would try to light Obi-Wan on fire with nightsister magick at least a few times before giving up and going back to trying to stab him.

The relationship with Savage would probably get off to a more rocky start but I do think Savage would realize pretty quickly that she’s not like the nightsisters he knows and then the big brother instinct would kick in and he’d forget she’s not a nightbrother.

The sexual dimorphism in Dathomiri Zabrak is crazy so it was really fun to gender-bend such a distinct looking character. I tried to keep the base features the same but do some nightsistery style.

Like I said in my previous post with this concept, I don’t think making Maul a nightsister would change all that much about her story until she meets her family and realizes she has a whole other weapon she could be exploiting to beat the shit out of her ginger nemesis. I think Sidious would have purposely kept her from information about the nightsisters so she doesn’t get it in her head she can fight back and didn’t need him for everything. When she gets to Dathomir she has a whole moment where she’s like ‘I could do this the whole time!?

Savage is a little wary at first because while Maul doesn’t act like the other nightsisters, he’s still gotten burned a few times. After like a week he gets over it and starts acting like a big brother which drives her insane because being picked up and put to bed is undermining her absolute authority as a sith master
