Its fascinating how both Bran and Dany lost everything: their fathers, their brothers has their head filled with war, everyone close to them either dead or far away, and yet they turned out to be stark (haha get it) opposites of eachother.

In the beginning of AGOT, Dany had no hope, and Bran was bursting with his courage. Now, its quite the opposite.

Theyre such a great contrast-one who when loses something loses his hope too, whereas the other gains hope tenfold. Bran is shown a differant fate where he could be a greenseer but he forbids himself to indulge in it. Maybe it is self cautiousness, he is too terrified to even dream for a better day. Whereas, Dany had everything-and more-stripped from her. Yet it fueled her even more.
