haha....gosh, i just disappeared didn’t I? well, i’ve had quite an adventure since i’ve last been on here. it’s too long of a story---lots of ups and downs but overall, i feel....good. i’m at a good place right now! anyways, i have missed aria so freaking much and i want to give her a clean start.

         {💧} “What!?” 

     She was startled to say the least, eyes wide with a look of fear. The young healer gulped and waved her hands awkwardly, panicked at the power the man exuded. Blonde locks flew this way and that as shook her head as well. This was getting a little out of hand; maybe she shouldn’t have come all the way here. 

      {💧} “Well now, what are you doing?” She giggled behind her hand, cheeks coloring a charming pink. She wasn’t aware he was such a sentimental type of man and this sensation was nice...most welcoming, actually. Cornflower hues locked onto the many pretty daisies at his side, the ones he was expertly weaving into her braid.

       {💧} The wind followed him as it always did, his familiarity startling. She could sense his heart of hearts, so comforting and warm. Her thoughts were of the boy with silver hair, who held her close as her body was wracked with pain and a solemn acceptance of fate. This knight was the same and a great sadness washed over the young girl. With a small smile, her usually lonely gaze locked onto his, not knowing how to react to the other’s presence. 

The Light of the Crystals – Final Fantasy III (Canon)

Age: 15

Aria Benett is the last of kind; the water maiden tribe, young women who’s life mission was to keep the Water Crystal in check was eradicated when the darkness overtook the Temple of Water. The crystal fell into darkness and Aria contracted an illness that made her bedridden for quite some time. When the four chosen heroes arrive, she is already near death’s door but with the help of an elixir, her life is further sustained if only for a little while.

Feeling the warmth and goodness of the four orphans, Aria beseeches them to help her reclaim the tainted Water Crystal by finding its shard that holds a remainder of its light. Once the shard is in hand, the five make their way to the Cave of Tides where the crystal is being held. With her prayers, she is able to open the seal and restore some light back to it.

Unfortunately, a dark guardian known as the Kraken shot a poison dart at Luneth and Aria took the blow in his stead. After a long and terrifying battle, the four are able to defeat him and Aria tells them of her last wish: “Promise me, that you will banish the darkness and restore peace to the world.”

Verse : Ghostly Waters -- Final Fantasy III (AU) + Crossover 

This verse occurs when Aria is canonically killed in FFIII.

After her death and the warriors mourn her, Aria’s spirit is summoned and called to the Water Crystal, who is grateful to her for restoring the light back to it before being attacked by the Kraken. Ultimately deciding that she is deserving of living another life, the Water Crystal bestows upon her a new existence as a nereid who will continue to uphold peace—a being of water that continues to serve the crystal, just as she did before her demise.

       {💧} She took deep steady breaths to calm herself; it was now or never, she just couldn’t stand it anymore. Though tears began to sting at her eyes, she forced herself not to cry. It was pathetic, the last time she did in front of him. An embarrassment to a king, rejecting his suggestion of children. How many young women would love to be in her position? Aria became nervous, thinking back on the rumors in her homeland about affairs, mistresses and concubines. But Noctis would never do that...right?  Tugging on his sleeve to get his attention, she looked away bashfully. 

          “I’ve thought about it a bit more and well, I’d like to try for the baby----” Before she could finish, his lips pressed to hers so fiercely, Aria felt the room spin for a second in time. His normally tired eyes were warm and bright with happiness...
