no, lmao, absolutely not. he's confident, strong in every way, devoted, slow to anger, gentle, a lover of the arts... but exceptionally adventurous (big thrill seeker), cheeky, shamelessly flirty, and has a progressive disregard for pageantry and nobility and Rules that there'd never really be a dull moment between you two and you'd often be left of your toes. it would be a warm, protected, energetic kind of romance that gives you faith in the world and people and yourself and makes you realize that love really is the point of everything.

the obstacles, though, are many... and though his unwavering devotion would climb above it all, a partnership would be a real bumpy ride for the both of you. the obstacles are mainly external. he's inheriting a massive, corrupt empire built off lies and the blood of millions of fey creatures -- that's misaligned with his values -- and the violent magical debt that comes with that WILL come to a boil just as he ascends the throne. apart from his father, his family is full of assholes, particularly his severe, never-satisfied uncle ludwig. plus... there's the traumatic disappearance of his sister, the princess margarete (delyra) from his childhood, and her memory still plagues his mind. and speaking of the mind, ever since the death of maleficent... the poor guy has not had a good night's rest. and you'll have to deal with the fact that he'll have nightmares every night that's spurring him on a quest that you might not be able to follow him into. :')

what else ?? well... he's got an insane cursed sword, too. and court whispers will follow you everywhere, at least for a time, that you're only his second choice after his failed engagement with the perfect princess aurora. and even if he'd hold your hand so steadily through it all and do his best to have no shadows come get you.. can you handle all that burden ?? :') maybe not.

some notes on the guide... man is exceptionally food motivated. like a dog in that way. and in many other ways too. he also has, like, 10 dogs, and his best friend is a stableboy and a horse so just be aware of. that. he doesn't much care for luxury and refined behavior, and would much rather abscond in the middle of an important shindig to go wandering in the forest in search of a little or big adventure with you. the man grew up in very dark mountainous regions so beach days don't readily occur to him lmao. annnd when it comes to sex, he's a firstborn imperial crown prince, was a crazy flirt growing up, who had the freedom (PRIVILEGE) to have whatever dalliance he wanted. and he absolutely took advantage of that, lmao. so he's... quite experienced and notably versatile in his tastes i would say.

as for the ideal partner, welllllll. as an extrovert, he's a suuuuuuuucker for an tender-hearted, soft-spoken, but playful introvert. he gravitates to the demure, shy, pretty, someone who needs protecting, submissive types. the goody goodies. and only god can help him if you're good at either singing or drawing or dancing lmfao. but I'M here to tell you that he also loooooves a challenge and is an insane daredevil. so if there's someone who's more his match when it comes to swordfighting and sass and dominance well... i know he'd have sooo much fun with that. he'll hate the absolute fuck out of you if you're evil though, and when he's hateful he's the worst person out there. but hero x villain tropes are so fun to dig into so... i rattle my tin cup at you guys.
