I got a very nice compliment from my step aunt the other day. “You are who you are meant to be.” She’s a very spiritual person. Not religious, but she believes in spirits and reincarnation. My mother is a believer in the same. She’s had readings done and has always been under the impression that me, my father and her were together in past lives. The way my step aunt explained it to my mother is that sometimes spirits need to return quickly and just jump into any body. I really liked that. And it made a lot of sense to my mother. Putting a lot of pieces together for her that before were just questions.

I had been locked out of my tumblr for a while. Well...the app wouldn't work on my phone for months is more the truth. Sadly my phone is also my computer. I have my annual Doctor visit / t check up soon. He's also going to see how my ribs are doing and if he can do anything to sway my insurance company to cover top surgery. 8 years of binding is not good for you! This is a simple plastic medicine spoon that has been modified with an angled open tip and the support arm removed. I recommend it for those that like to be able to stand to pee but aren’t a fan of packing, like myself. It fits inconspicuously in a pocket. It can be concealed by the palm and washed in the sink. You can also give it a quick swish in boiling water for better sterilization.

So the semester has been over and although I joined my campus’s lgbtq+ group P.R.I.D.E late in the semester, it was definitely worth it. As I believe I mentioned before, I didn’t come out to the whole group right away. I waited about two or three meetings. A bunch of us went ice skating in Bushnell park before a meeting. Upon talking with the president I decided I’d come out when given an opportunity. It ended up being at the following meeting. So far so good too. I didn’t expect to be met with any adversity and I didn't receive any. I’ve had a few ask me questions. That I expected. My favorite part about coming out is when people are curious. I love the way people will try so hard to find a way to ask something they are curious about without sounding insulting. It’s adorable how some people squirm. I’m looking forward to next semester with the group. We are looking into going to True Colors Confidence at UConn in March too. Can’t wait to see what 2016 brings!

My friend's mother makes these insanely adorable 'Fluffy Bears'. At 4 inches in height these things are too cute for their own good! Making these Fluffy Bears has been greatly therapeutic for her and others. She's been fighting cancer for a bit and with these guys around it's hard not to just smile! This guy is available and his friends are always being made.
