Do you ever feel like you're hitting a road block? That you're standing in front of a closed door? That 'your' station is closed? Today was one of those days where I felt a little bit overwhelmed - my mind constantly told me I couldn't do what I set out to do. That I cannot reach my goals. That I cannot get people to read my stuff. That I cannot get the next step done - regardless of what I try to do. That I will not succeed whatever I try to do. A couple of weeks ago I would have silently sat down and believed what my mind told me. Now, I am a step ahead. I am conscious about my train of thought. I catch myself while my mind is playing tricks on me. And I can at least put a hold on it. I won't say I can completely stop them. I can't. They come popping up the whole day. I try to keep them quiet. I assure myself that it's never gonna be as bad as my mind wants me to believe. And that's it. All I can do is stop the thought when I get aware of it. Sometimes it's worth looking back. Sometimes it's worth acknowledging what you've gone through.
