I would have made a post sooner but have been very busy but being at it is National Dog Day I had to make a post with a few pics in remembrance of the legend Captain! This awesome dog lived an amazing life and truly had 9 lives from starting out as getting parvo as a puppy, then getting loose in Lealman and ran over by a car, getting bit in the face by a copperhead on the farm and even kicked in the face by a full gown Oregon Elk! He was a very vocal boy and let everyone know what he was thinking and when he wanted his voice to be heard. He started out as Captain Morgan when he was Matt's dog in Florida when Mom and Dad saw him running around in traffic and Mom opened up the car door and captain dove into Moms Lap and thats where the bond started! He retired as Captain/Cappy and Over the years has developed a bond with my Mom that I have never seen between any other human and dog! It never gets easy losing a pet, a dog especially because they just don't quite live long enough for how much we need them in our lives. But I do believe without question as I always say all dogs go to heaven and we will have one h*** of a pack when that day comes... Captain passed away on the 9th of August at 18 years old. Today was a very sad day on Liberty Hollow. My Dads best bud Lucky passed away last night and we laid him to rest this morning. Lucky was hands down one of the best dogs we've ever had and my Dad's best friend through so many rough and great times! Lucky was such a sweet and happy boy! Lucky was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer last year and battled through it as long as he could. Dad spent every day trying to find every possible way to keep him hanging on. This was one of many pics showing Lucky at his happiest and best moments and that's how he will always be remembered!
