Ludvig : Medic clone

(Ludvig was blu before joining red)

Zac bursted in the lab of the German doctor, doors swinging behind him in a heavy flap. The young man was heavily panting, shaking, his pupils dilated, looking around for something as his eyes suddenly stopped at the figure of the Medic sat on his desk, his head a little above his book to looking at the intruder.

-…Ja?

The scout tried to speak but he was not even able to say a word. His breath was loud, he was definetly trying to calm down the best he can but it seems like he was missing fresh air. He was gripping his shirt, sweating, almost dropping on the floor but the doc was quick enough to grab him back.

-Easy, easy Herr Scout.

Zac gulped as he was put on the medical bed, hissing a word between his heavy inspirations

-Not.. Scout… Zac..

Ludvig nodded but didn’t care to be honest. Zac was a scout after all.

He put his own hand on the chest of the young one and started talking calmly.

-Easy. Take a deep breath with me. One, two, three…

The two exalted, the doc slowly and firmly as Zac’s breath was still shaking and fast, like a scared animal. The doc repeated the operation three times as slowly, the runner’s breath slowed down as the same path as Medic’s one.

The flickers of the light began to be louder than their breath. The all base was silent, as it is usually at night, in the desert of New Mexico.

The scout gulped as Ludvig let go of his hand, not even wearing his rubber gloves yet. The German doctor turned around , sat on his chair with, grabbing a notepad in a gesture.

-It’s been already a month since the last time, ja?

As Zac began to sat on the medical bed, he slowly nodded even if the doc couldn’t see it.

-…Yes.. I.. I can’t keep it up like this.

Zac’s voice was soft, tired. Something really unusual from the loud jackass he was in battle even around the team.

-..I hate being like that doc.. can’t you.. do something..? Anything? Please?

The medic looked up, stopping himself from writing, making the noise of pencil no longer in the background noise. He sight and turned around, looking at the whining scout that was definetly only the shadow of what he is most of the time.

-Medicine take time, you know. And it’s not like you could have a day off with the administrator and-

-I. Fucking. Can’t. Take. It.

The scout barked. Zac’s voice was a bit louder, angrier, something more usual of him. But also a bit different.

-I’m done. I’m exhausted. I can’t keep doing this anymore.

The doc chuckled as an answer, making Zac suddenly looking at him.

-Oh but you have to keep going. You can’t do anything else but continue to work.

-I CAN’T OKAY?!

The scout was gripping his hand on the chair, yelling now. Despite how tired he was with his panick attack, he was so close to snapping. Too close.

-I FUCKING CAN’T ! I’M SCARED I COULD DO SOMETHING DUMB TO THIS POINT OKAY?! I JUST WANT IT TO END! GIVE ME SOMETHING OR I’LL FUCKING KILL MYSELF AND WE’LL BOTH WON’T BE BOTHERED ANYMORE!

The doc’s gaze was looking down at the scout that was heavily panting again, his tired eyes and his bitten nail scratching the fabric of the bed.

-….That’s not with suicide threats that you’ll end up having my help boy.

Zac bend himself on the fabric, grabbing now his own arms, trying desperately to scratch his skin in vain, hissing

-That’s. Not. Fucking threat.

The scout was back as shaking, tears rolling down his cheeks as he closed his eyes, grinding his teeth

-I just. Fucking. Can’t. Be like that. Anymore. Okay?!

His hand came closer to his head, gripping his hair, stretching in appart, almost tearing some of it. He was biting his lip hard to not scream anymore, even if he was definetly in pain

-Still. You just threaten me to take your own life if I don’t do anything. Do you know what that means ?

Zac jumped out of the medical bed, giggling nervously, reopening his blue eyes to look around, annoyed but still shady from pain

-Can’t you understand I just can’t take it?! My mind can’t take it, I just, I…

-You became exactly what you hated.

Zac’s gaze mate Ludvig’s cold one. The runner’s hand was now scratching his arms as much as he could, his face twisted in an upset smile, snapping.

-Fuck. Off.

The scout pushed everything out of the desk and went out of the lab, hitting himself against the wall of the corridor a few meters away.

Ludvig sighted and went back to his notes, not even bothering to get after him.

…It’s not like respawn was always on anyways.

The doc grumbled.
