One of my pet peeves that must've rubbed off on me from my mom is people reading from their slides during a presentation, this happened on Monday during my final for that day and it took forever to get through a lot of people's presentations.
My partner for our presentation was the shortest in terms of time (we all went over but were the shortest by far though) and we were the last ones to present so we tried to be conscious of everyone else's time (and the time for the final was close when we got up to present, it ended at 3 we presented at 2:50 something). Also, we didn't read off our slides. We just gave basic info that the audience can read and my partner did make a script but she read it off her notebook which is fine, I did flash cards but we never once had dialogue to read from the slides. I think the only thing I read off of them was the name of menu items (food and merch [it was a presentation about collab events and oshikatsu, a hypothetical trip to Japan]) but that's pretty ehhhh overall. Also we had the shortest amount of slides for ours, at 13 including links for what we used to get our info. Everyone else's was 20+ like, huh???
Idk, it just sits weird with me...
