This blog is officially an archive! I wanted to get myself re-organized and re-oriented, so you can now find me at the new and improved @nrth-wind
[I swear to y'all I will be on again soon; life has been so crazy busy! I'm so sorry!
In the meantime, I've been doing some rp on discord (sidebar: if you're interested in any of the fandoms I write in, and you enjoy discord rp, hmu!),
And it's got me thinking very very strongly about creating a Leverage RP Server for a group who is interested! I write Parker myself, so I could fill that role, but anyone else who might be interested, let me know! I am not sure how this will pan out or if anyone will bite, but consider this a soft launch of the idea of doing this! Feel free to message me if you write for leverage!]
[Gonna be over on @peranarkia tonight!]
LEVERAGE SEASON ONE SENTENCE STARTERS (PART ONE)
Lines taken from episodes s01e01 - s01e05 of the TNT series Leverage.Β Feel free to change pronouns or edit in any way to better fit your needs. Here is part two and part three.
βΒ You know that part of the conversation where I punch you in the neck nine or ten times? Weβre coming up on that pretty quick. β
βΒ No, hell, no. This equipment is total VH1 bro, itβs best of the 80βs. I got something nicer. β
βΒ No surprises now. β
βΒ Youβre not as useless as you look. β
βΒ Age of the geek, baby. We run the world. β
βΒ Yeah, itβs completely safe, itβs just, you know, you might experience nausea, weakness in your right side, stroke, strokiness. β
βΒ Thatβs twenty pounds of crazy in a five pound bag. β
βΒ Ten digit password. I salute you sir. β
βΒ Every man for himself then. β
βΒ How many plans do we have? Is there like a Plan M? β
βΒ It was kind of cool, being on the same side. β
βΒ Come on, tell the truth. Didnβt you have a little bit of fun playing the Black King instead of the White Knight, just this once? β
βΒ You better get that gun out of my face or else Iβm gonna feed it to you. β
βΒ Yeah, you seem pretty relaxed for a guy with a gun pointed at him. β
βΒ That makes me cry inside in my special, angry place. β
βΒ So unless we get out of here in the next ten minutes we all go to jail. β
βΒ Donβt you dare. You kill anyone you screw up my getaway. β
βΒ I donβt trust these guys. β
βΒ First class tickets to anywhere but here, coming up. β
βΒ Iβm gonna beat [name] so bad that even the people who look like him are gonna bleed. β
βΒ I was just gonna send a thousand porno magazines to his office, but, hell yeah man, letβs kick him up. β
βΒ Iβm a citizen now. Honest. β
βΒ Youβre playing my side. I always thought you had it in you. β
βΒ All right, letβs break the law just one more time. β
βΒ Here comes the mountain of suck. β
βΒ This is her stage. [name] is the finest actress youβve ever seenβ¦ when sheβs breaking the law. β
βΒ Iβm aware that youβre manipulating me β
βΒ Yeah, you should have just paid us. β
βΒ I wouldnβt say anything about us to the Feds. Next time we wonβt be so nice. β
βΒ People like that, corporations like that, they have all the money they have all the power and they use it to make people like you go away. Right now youβre suffering under an enormous weight. We provide, Leverage. β
βΒ Heβs cool, I found him on the internet. β
βΒ You canβt just come in here and get his hopes up! β
βΒ People donβt just show up to help. Thatβs not the way the world works. β
βΒ I donβt like stuff, I like money. β
βΒ You IDβd the weapon from the gunshot sound? β
βΒ I just remembered gravity and the squishiness of all my manly bits. β
βΒ Surely thereβs enough war to go around. β
βΒ Ooh, old school. I found a safe. β
βΒ Oh I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Iβm a professional criminal and I find that disturbing. β
βΒ The shooting wasnβt an accident, [name] isnβt a victim heβs a witness. β
βΒ Play timeβs over, itβs only a matter of time before they come after us. β
βΒ I didnβt sign up for any of this. What I did before, nobody got hurt. β
βΒ You know you guys called on me. You remember? You begged me to run the crew, β agreed to play by my rules. Now walk out if you have a problem with that. β
βΒ A man only ever looks a woman in the eye when heβs making the effort to lie to her. β
βΒ Villains, conmen, wolves in sheepβs clothing. Felt right at home. β
βΒ Iβm sorry it was too far away for you to punch. Iβm sure that really frustrates you. β
βΒ Okay, thatβs worth killing for. β
βΒ Hey, what do you got going on, you and [name], what is it like a creepy contest? β
βΒ Never thought Iβd say this, ever, but that is just way too much money to steal. β
βΒ No, youβre not gonna steal it. You donβt remember? Youβre got the good guys now, youβre gonna give it back. β
βΒ Iβm supposed to believe that you just happened to be here on the day that a couple hundred million dollars in cash goes missing? β
βΒ The world doesnβt work this way. β
βΒ Anybody who wants to walk away can do it right now. β
βΒ Look, he came at you. Itβs self-defense. This guyβs a killer. Youβre a citizen. Itβs open-and-shut. β
βΒ Weβre gonna have a meeting later about how things work around here. β
βΒ She wants the man who destroyed her family to pay. β
βΒ Do you have any idea how hard it is, to wait for someone? β
βΒ Did you say βplumberβ? Thatβs their cover? Oh, that is so cute. Itβs like itβs 1978 all over again. β
βΒ I donβt have to type anything, right? βcause you know I just learned the Photoshop thing you told me. β
βΒ You know, youβre very negative lately. And the sass, it doesnβt help. β
βΒ Look, hold a knife like this, cuts through an onion. Hold a knife like this, cuts through, like, eight yakuza in 4 seconds. β
βΒ If thereβs a man without a price, I havenβt met him yet. β
βΒ Oh, see, now, me, I would have just got fat and started up a comic book shop. β
βΒ Okay, listen, we have a world-class killer here whoβs going to I. D. [name], and we are not prepared for this at all. So I am gonna pull the plug. β
βΒ Have you ever been to Kiev? The cake-maker of Kiev would whup all our ass. This is the butcher. β
βΒ Is this about fear of the Russian mob, or fear of intimacy? β
βΒ You just kill a guy with an appetizer? β
βΒ People who break their promises get whatβs coming to them. β
βΒ Iβm sorry. Whatever happened, I know you did everything you could. β
βΒ We all pay the price. β
βΒ I had fortune cookies for breakfast. β
βΒ I was drunk a couple hours ago. Now Iβm just hung over. β
βΒ Itβs a bar. Iβm blending. β
βΒ Power doesnβt have to show off. When you have it, you know it. β
βΒ Right now, are you drunk? β
βΒ The house is bugged. Now, if Iβm right, the equipment is standard-Issue law enforcement. β
βΒ Is it me, or is he getting creepier? β
βΒ I know two things about you. Youβre trouble, and youβre a drunk. Either one is enough for me not to trust you. β
βΒ Oh, yeah. Heβs definitely getting creepier. β
βΒ You got to trust me, all right? Youβve trusted me before, and with your life. β
βΒ I ainβt your daddy. You can drink yourself into a coma as far as Iβm concerned, but you take me down with you - then itβs my problem. β
βΒ Now, donβt you dare give me the βweβre all a familyβ speech. β
βΒ Are you threatening to bail on me? β
βΒ Give me a reason to stay. β
βΒ If weβre gonna play βhappy family,β we should, you know, really get our background straight. β
βΒ Flying isnβt really all that scary when you think about it. I mean, there are a lot more likely ways to die than on a plane. Car crash, house fire, electrocution, drowning, autoerotic asphyxiation. β
βΒ I mean, the fact is, death haunts us every day. No matter where we are. β
βΒ You bailed on the job because you were up all night playing a game? β
βΒ You canβt skate by on talent and luck forever. β
βΒ Cayman islands - thieves holiday. Go for the tan, stay for the tax shelter. β
βΒ If I was important to you, youβd remember. β
βΒ Oh, yeah, go on. Yeah, walk away. Like you always do. β
βΒ We tell her thereβs a bounty on her head, and sheβs gonna lose it. β
βΒ When I knock people out, they tend to stay knocked out. β
βΒ You know what β if you were a geek, you would be really turned on right now. β
βΒ Listen to me! You can do this! I trust you! β
βΒ No matter how many times you goof off or screw up, you always come through in the clutch. β
βΒ Youβre the only guy I can count on in a situation like this. β
βΒ Youβre gonna remember this one, arenβt you? β
βΒ Lord, I was so scared, I wanted to cry, call my mama. Y'all cool? Yβall cool? β
βΒ You guys almost died trying to help me. I wish I could help you. β
βΒ I wish there was some way I could pay you back for everything youβve done. β

More Human Than Human.
Lonnie is a Nexus-8, originally sent to Calantha as an intel officer for Tyrell Corp's off-world war. Miserable and unable to process the violence, Lonnie hacked themself out of the Nexus-8 database with their credentials, and then fled back to Earth, where they presently try to live among the humans, while also working with the replicant resistance movement as a document forger and hacker.

Lonnie had the grace to look sheepish. "I apologize for dropping in so suddenly on you. I would imagine that what happened is: my boom tube was calibrated for a... dramatically wider net than I meant to cast. As for landing alright, nothing is bruised but my pride." They chuckled quietly.
"If you're busy, I'm certain that I could get out of your hair in just a few minutes, given the right tools to do so. Although," Lonnie paused.
"If you've time for a social call, I'm sure there's plenty of breezes to shoot. It's been a little while!"
" SHH! " the sound is harsh, and it cuts through the night's abhorrent silence like butter. tim settles down almost immediately, but there's a GRIM set to the line of his mouth, " i've been biding my time. but they've been pouring gasoline around the warehouse, i think they intend to BURN all the evidence they've left behind. i can't let it happen. "
@nrth-wind / closed starter for lonnie machin [...]
Lonnie scowled behind their mask, but they did lower their voice as they hissed, "Do not shush me, Red Robin. What is the evidence for? If they have digital copies, you may just be able to persuade me to fetch them for you, like the dog that you seem to think I am. Otherwise, we may want to-- joke absolutely intended-- light a fire under our asses and get moving."
nrth-wind presents: dc/spiderverse crossover au for Lonnie Machin a.k.a. The Moneyspider
β Let's do this one more time!
β Lonnie is a computer prodigy. In DC canon, they take on the name Moneyspider as an online moniker. This is the moniker they use when they do things like re-allocate money stolen from a bank to the people who need it, or when they hack the Batcave.
β In this au, that Moneyspider name becomes an omen of things to come. Namely, a certain classic power-granting event, in which there is a spider bite and some radioactivity. You know the drill.
β Armed with their newfound abilities and their general love of engineering and programming, The Moneyspider operates in that middle ground between a hero and a villain. That is, they're certainly a menace if you ask the powers that be (the state and its enforcers), but as they also continue Robin Hood'ing and generally saving lives, the general populace might have a different opinion.
β Timeline-wise, Lonnie will be anywhere from the 14-year-old who is still trying to figure out why they can sometimes stick to walls, to the 21-year-old who is still recovering from a chemically-induced coma, caused by a villain known as The General, when Lonnie was 18.
β They will remain based in Gotham City, in the DC Universe, which I've decided to call Earth-1934 (DC's founding date).
β If you have any further questions about who Lonnie is, here's their bio on their solo blog.
β Anyone interested in this AU can feel free to message me, or reply in the comments below, and I'll come say hi and talk plots!

"It's pronounced ten, actually, but I don't blame you for getting your numbers mixed up. I'm sure someone always did your homework for you."
(you liked for a Lonnie in ur inbox on your multi, and Beni sounded fun, so I'm sending here!)
Lonnie squinted at the blonde with a sour expression written across their features. "Do you ever get tired of being rich? I can help with that."
Benimaru popped a brow, offering the same amount of distaste for the redhead.
βDo you ever get tired of being a four? I can help with that.β

Polly hesitated, not expecting to be spoken to -- and doubly confused at the question. She had some house plants in pots around the shop, but hardly anything that would constitute a garden. "Ehm...I have a few plants growing on the windowsill. Oregano and mint, and some flowers mostly... Does that help?"
Eddie's smile gained a hint of smugness, though he really wasn't trying to be rude. There was just a not-insignificant part of him that delighted in victory, no matter how small.
"A flour garden." He informed the baker, before pointing on his own neck to demonstrate his point: "You have a bit of flour right here."
With what he thought, unhumbly, was a dandy flourish, he pulled a handkerchief from his breast pocket and passed it over. "Working hard, are we?"
βThat was like a one act play at a black box theatre.β (Hobie to Lonnie. They would be friends I think.)
Game Changer Starters II Accepting
The chase had been a slog, if Lonnie was being honest, and they'd only just barely gotten away from one very nasty, very heated beat cop. Operating the way they used to was... permanently out of the cards, really, which should have made them more careful.
Unfortunately, asking Lonnie Machin to quit being Anarky was like asking the ocean to stop capsizing ships. Certain things could ebb and flow, change with the tides, but neither could give up their nature.
"From one spider to another," They grinned tiredly behind their mask, "I'm going to assume you meant that as a compliment. Leave a good Yelp review, will you? Local arts need support in their corner."
Lonnie gave a bow of their head in greeting. "I hope you don't mean to combat me, now. I heard Spider-Men are friendly. I'd hate for this to turn out to be false rumor."
