been putting together nearly the entire Institute from The Magnus Archives in sketches (with immense help from @helloarchivist <33 ) this is all completely based on personal headcanons and imagination, going from the top floor to basement, don't question the size or layout this is all based on vibes alone lol

which leads me to believe that literally the only thing that made him so impulsive was that Jon was learning stuff from someone other than him or his own painful experiences or the eye. He did not like that Jon's perspective of the world was shifted by somebody else at all. He killed Leitner only because he was like! no! no! Jon's mine! I get to decide what he sees, what he knows, what he understands!

He'd have tried killing Gerry if Gerry wasn't dead I bet. Would have burnt his page if Jon hadn't decided to do it. Or, well, no, cause that would have been a kind thing to do to Gerry and he might have been too curious and not willing to go through the pain to do it, so maybe he would have just stolen the page from Jon.
