A corpse hunts through the town, a beautiful, skinless thing. Its claws are sharp as they catch on a cow, and its teeth glint in the evening light. It struggles to bite into the still living cow without its lower jaw. The townsfolk run away from the area. The guards have yet to come. The corpse's tongue, too long and split down the middle, wraps around the cow's leg in order to act as a lower jaw. It hears a small sound, and its head jerks up and away from the cow to try and find what made it.

It was hard to completely silence a blade being drawn, lurking in the shadow of a rooftop chimney. The discordant song of the creature in front of her a far cry from the melancholy refrain described by Gwyn.
She was silent as she launched forward, driven by the echoes of misery crawling from the thing in front of her. A quiet chord still playing under the bloodshed and vermin.
Nox dropped down hard on the creature knocking them both down and away from the dead cow. Her blade resting heavily against it's throat.
"Hello darlings, you all have been causing quite a fuss for others recently, haven't you?"
She was small but her grip was firm, the hold tight. Something heavier than mass drawing it down.

The corpse goes down easily, having been caught off guard. The blade against its throat draws a bit of blood, hard to tell with the blood already dripping from its skinless form.
Its hands wrap around the blade, tearing muscle, and it forces itself up. The blade goes through its neck, doing absolutely nothing. A low, hoarse cackle escapes its chest, the taste of blood filling its mouth. Its so hungry. On its knees, on its feet, hands remaining wrapped firmly around the blade.
When the creature moved she moved with it, Wrapping her legs around the undead as it stood. She dug the knife in deeper and hissed.
"Now now darlings, I need to speak with Helm for a moment." Wrapped around the creature, hanging by will and blade alone she drew it closer, "I can't feed you if you if you're not fully here."

"We're always here," it croaks, eyes locking in on her face. It staggers a step away from the cow, which scrambles to its hooves and hurries away. "We're always fully here. We're just so so so hungry."
Nox runs a hand over the slippery bloodsoaked skin of its head.
"I know lovers, but it's not actually hunger is it? You want more right? More than food or meat. What are you hungry for darlings? You cannot hide Helm away forever, we miss it, and we would see you fed in return for it. The hound and the cat get along quite well and I would see us all balanced together."
She shifted dropping the dagger and sword, wrapping herself tighter around the creature.
"I see the hungry, needy thing writhing inside you darlings. How can I feed you, lovers?"

I used to spend a lot of time and energy in evil spells to corrupt the minds of virtuous knights, but to be quite honest, most of the time you just need to whisper in their ear and pull their hair a little.
My work as a feral sub is for this reason exactly, way harder for enemies to corrupt you to their cause when you are too insane to fully control.

The coming dawn was a blessing and a curse, shadows to hide in and hope on the horizon. It only made her slaughter easier.
Undead roamed the forest boundary, those that drifted from the main force wandering further and further until she came upon them like a strike of midnight. The choked gurgling and rotten stench of moldy corpses only drove her further. These poor wretched souls trapped in-between life and death were an affront to what she was, lacking even the consciousness that more powerful undead had.
There could be no change if the cycle was brought to a halt. She cut into the masses, driven by feral will alone. It was easy and almost comforting to lose herself in the rhythm of her strikes.
Duck, stab, lunge, cut.
Over and over until she felt the melody harmonize once more. Her breath was heavy and the air was thick with the miasma of battle, undead blood saturating the ground and leaves around her. There would be more but she had done what she could, she thought as the ground squelched under her boot.
She had lingered too long, calm and curious, while her song grew discordant. As she turned to the battlefield beyond the forest she knew it was time to face her duty once more.
