The younger lancer frowned at him. The Elezen seemed to be struck speechless by her words, or had he only realized the true purpose of the training dummies? She could only stare, baffled, and tilt her head.
"There are always those who wish to cause harm. The beasts in the Shroud and outside, bandits, and other folk who have bad intentions," She answered, taking offense, "I appreciate your concern, but I can defend myself. That's the purpose of training and sparr-"

"...If you were challenging me for a spar, you should have just said so," Artemis stated, not amused by this workaround way of asking, "We could spar inside the guild or somewhere in the East Shroud. Your choice." She shrugged.
This girl seemed more trouble then she was worth, that was the thought that ran through Foulques mind as he heard her words. You could not help someone who didn't even realize they needed to be helped.

Midna pursed her lips, knowing he was right. Damn this curse on her, if she was at her full power then it wouldn't be an issue even if she got in trouble. But if she was at her full power then she wouldn't even be in the mess in the first place, now would she.
Letting go of Mahon, she shoved him away with more force then was necessary.

Just how long had it been since Midna had last left the Twilight realm? She knew it had been during her journey with Link, but how many years had passed since then?
Much like the hour of twilight sometimes seemed to linger before fading into night, time with the realm of Twilight could seem to stretch on longer then seemed natural. She was sure that those she she had known were probably long gone. And the land had changed as well.
Possibly.
She honestly wasn't sure if she was in Hyrule or somewhere else entirely. Recently strange things had been happening in the Twilight Realm. Though with the Mirror of Twilight had been destroyed, it was merely a doorway, the path between realms remained.
And something had ripped it way into it, invading Midna's realm with some kind of sludge like substance, that seemed to have at least some amount of sentience. In the darkness of the Twilight, it had seemed to fester and grow, putting her people in danger.
Midna would not allow another tragedy to befall her kingdom, so the only solution was to try and find the source. Though that of course would be easier if she knew where to look, or where she was.
She didn't recall any deep chasms when she had been in Hyrule before, the closest she could think of was the deep cave system within the Gerudo desert, and that certainly wasn't where she was. This was where the other end of the path had led her though, so there had to be some kind of answer to be found.
Thus far all she had found though was a lot of darkness, which while pleasant, wasn't exactly helpful. Well, darkness and strange technology. To an extent, it reminded her of Twili's technology, though it didn't quite feel the same. Still, it was hard not to be curious.
Who could blame Midna then, upon finding an area where it seemed someone had been working with the technology, for taking a moment to be nosy. She didn't know where whoever had been working there was currently, but she felt little concern about it as she began to rifle through the papers she had found on a table.
She could worry about it if they showed up.
I finally have a free day so we're try and get stuff done, i know I owe a starter and have some drafts and asks to do so we'll see what we can get finished and queue
