It was one of the rare days where he didn't have any appointments, so Elias had taken some time to run errands in the morning and then fix up his front garden. With the changing of the weather from summer to autumn, he'd planted some seasonal herbs that would need extra tending.
"Our pumpkins will be ready soon, Imho, then I can cook you some." Elias said to his regal sphynx who was perched on the bench just beneath the wide window. The cat responded with a noise as if telling Elias that he was aware of this information and that he need not be reminded. With a smile, Elias crouched down to turn over some soil with his trowel, his bright yellow gardening gloves decorated with a sunflower design.
Before he could reach for the corked potion that he used to mix into the soil to help plants grow healthy, Imhotep made a sound that wasn't quite a hiss but not exactly welcoming either. That usually meant that they had a visitor.
He glanced over his shoulder to see a man approach their fenced-in property. There were no enchantments placed on his home, so anyone was welcome to visit as long as they had good intentions. Elias was always willing to hear someone out before he decided whether or not to interact with them further. He rose from his crouch, the trowel still in hand.
"May I help you?"
