this is terribly rash, one colleague stepping in and accidentally walking into this would lead them knee deep in trouble. she should know better and so should he, yet neither of them seem to care enough by logic and reason. instead, they are driven by something much simpler and primal, a kind of torrid need that hasn’t extinguished and has stubbornly decided to linger after their very first rendezvous. “hm… that’s very unfortunate.” seoah hums in agreement, her smirk mirroring his as he spins her chair  around so that they are finally facing each other. kissing him with the same recklessness, she pulls him in with hands that no longer bother to conceal her greed, tugging him until they cannot be closer anymore. she’s missed this — missed him and maybe she doesn’t want to hold herself back anymore. 

     knowing this suggestion would come with sacrifices, that they'd never be able to take a stroll along a river, holding hands and casually exchanging words without somebody disrupting that moment  —-  seeing her now, the cast and all the fans waiting outside the building  ...  her fame was undeniably big, understandably so.  “ i don't see why not ? can't say i'd mind when we haven't given it a try, right ? ”  always optimistic until proven differently, jiho being the type of person to cross that bridge when he'd reach it. gaze flickered between her hues, down to that sweet smile tracing petals, causing one of his own to stretch across his face  ;  fingers itching to move across the table, grab a hold of her hand like he'd do on the trip where they met, but the risk was too grave in these surroundings, he knew.  “ doesn't have to be easy, not for me. ”  words spoken through an assuring voice, glint in his eyes showcasing that little need of affection, having to communicate it through a stare to avoid any of her fellow cast actors or his employees taking note of anything.  “ though... they might ask questions, so what do we say ? childhood neighbors ? ”  soft chuckle, trying to lighten the mood further as he could sense seoah's worry of her little white lie  ;  harmless in jiho's eyes.

there are many reasons why she should pull herself back before her hopes get too far ahead, but that bright, hopeful smile on his face seems to melt away her doubts and makes her want to hold onto the same hope too. despite what might be waiting ahead, despite the mess that they would have to navigate if this was exposed by the paparazzi who never cared about anything except what made a good story. a smile blooms on her features at his reassurance, and she lets it, no longer to force herself to hold back on her feelings as she did moments prior. he seems to have a way of disarming her, making her forget the necessity of keeping her guard up the way years in the industry have taught her. her hand, too, itches to reach out to hold his, but it’s simply not rational given the circumstances, the surrounding ears and the surveillance cameras that are certainly working. “that doesn’t sound too hard to believe.” she smiles, agreeing with a nod. “almost sounds like the premise of a cheesy romcom.” she says, a light shining in her eyes.

continued from here for @nouvelis / "yeah, it's what i want," seina nods and shifts her attention over to alice. she knows alice's family would probably kill them both if they knew what was going on here. she'd tried to fight off her affections towards alice for a while now — she doesn't want to anger the owners of her most profitable gig, to put her career at risk when she's finally getting enough steady work to pay most of her bills. but there's something about alice that's difficult to pull herself from, as evident by the way she turns onto her side to mirror the woman's movement. her fingers rest on her chest just underneath her neck and she studies alice's features. "i wanted to ask you to stay the last few times you came over too, if i'm honest."

if she was hesitant and uncertain before, it is now gone and replaced by a bright, genuine smile at seina’s confession. alice was all too ready to talk herself out of her stupid feelings, reckoning that seina might only be looking for a passing distraction rather than anything that could last. “yeah?” she hums, her voice hopeful, as she allows herself to believe what the other uttered. daring herself to lean closer, she stares into seina’s eyes with a smile that finally betrays how smitten she is. “i’m glad you’re telling me now.” she is relieved that her soft spot for seina isn’t merely one-sided, that the affection is returned exactly as she wished. “i kept wanting to stay.”

Thinking of Seth working even harder than already may be a troublesome but it did have the wheels in the other's mind turning, eyes observed his boyfriend for a while when Nat ate a little slower, fewer bites as he considered. "Is it...something you see for our future. Marriage, me at home taking care of house and..kids?" This was not a current need, not anything he wanted to press for any time soon yet their childhood was far behind when they last talked about how the envisioned their futures. Things could change, shift and morph. In a way he was not fully set on wanting anything specific other than be with Seth and listen to what he imagined for their future.

the question was unexpected, pulling him into a brief silence — not to divert, but to give it the proper thought it deserved. “i’m not sure about kids, but i’d get down on one knee if you wanted me to,” he smiled, his words genuine. seth was never a romantic—he didn’t see a happy couple growing up to make him fantasize about marriage, but the idea of promising forever to someone he loved dearly didn’t sound so ludicrous now when he was with the right person. he took another mouthful of food, enjoying every bite of what his boyfriend delivered as usual. “is that what you’d want, someday in the future?”

There should have been a few more things for Nat to consider than just his attraction, like the fact that he was set for his acting debut soon and preparations with his acting partner would be not too long now. Still, once he had his mind set on something or someone there was hardly anything to deter him. Not how much Seth questioned this nor anything else. After all how could he while those eyes looked at him the way they did, not at all matching with the little defiance the older still had left. Slowly his fingers dared to reach for dark wavy hair to curl some strands around one of them, the other palm stroking a little more possessive along the man's nape. All that was left were those pouty lips leaning in more until the moment they could brush the most tender of kisses against the man's inviting neck. "P'Seth. I'm sure." Was mimicked in a similar whisper yet much more certain, voice soft and low close to a purr. Observant eyes drank that handsome face in up close, not daring to pull back even just a little in case the bodyguard would escape right out of his hold. "If it does, we work through it together. Do you not want me the same way?" Call it manipulative maybe but in a way he was more than serious about needing his own assurance. Playing around with men was one thing, a few flings here and there yet he would not handle it that way with someone this close to him. He respected Seth way too much for this to not be serious. There he was half naked in front of him, feeling secure with Seth's hands on him along with his intense gaze. "I want to be yours."

“tequilas on first dates aren’t really my thing." zayn shook his head. “what if they’re a serial killer?” he said dramatically, before he chuckled softly at his own silliness. “oh, really?” zayn raised an eyebrow with intrigue, his head now resting on the flesh of his palm while his elbow rested on top of the polished wooden bar. “that’s a damn shame.” except he didn’t actually mean it, and it was rather obvious. “must be pretty hard to find someone as pretty as me.”

kit stayed quiet at first. his head buzzed with the knowledge that it would be weeks before he got to push his face into the space between zayn's neck and shoulder again, or feel those hands cup his cheeks like he was something precious. he held his breath, as if that could slow the morning down. "evil thoughts, hm? that's what you call them?" he whispered, nudging his lover's nose with his own, a clumsy gesture that made warmth spread helplessly through his chest. "i have plenty of those too, you know," he admitted, eyes fluttering back open. "though mine are less 'curiosity about houseplants' and more..." he trailed off, biting his lip. the words felt too heavy to say aloud. he settled for pressing closer, tightening his hold around zayn's waist, hoping the silence could anchor him to the moment.

“they’re somewhat evil.” zayn hummed and nodded along, stifling a soft chuckle. “what can i say? i might just be too good of a person if that’s the full extent of my evil.” his gaze had never strayed from his lover, so naturally he had noticed the nervousness and heaviness that suddenly flickered in kit’s eyes. “… and more what?” he couldn’t resist the urge to ask after a moment had passed. his voice wasn’t pushy at all, however, merely a vocalisation of his ever-persistent curiosity — an innate characteristic of all writers, he believed, as his fingers brushed across kit’s hair before he pressed a gentle kiss to his lover’s temple.

❝ sorry.  ❞ he  isn't  sure  what  the  apology  was  for  —  moving  her  so  suddenly  ?  cutting  her  off  ?  daring  to  stand  close  to  her  for  so  long  while  he  remembered  the  one  time  she  came  to  visit  him  on  campus  and  they  fell  asleep  on  the  tiny  couch  of  the  radio  room  ?  or  any  other  terrible  thing  he'd  done  to  her  in  their  time  together.  whatever  it  meant,  once  it  was  out  there,  he  was  pulling  away   —   letting  go  as  if  he  had  been  burned  and  putting  space  between  them.  that's  what  he  needed  to  protect  himself:  space.  ❝ there's  no  point  in  trying  to  comfort  someone  who  is  barely  hanging  on.  you'll  just  make  them  waver,  and  when  they  do  .  .  .  that's  it.  that's  when  everything  catches  up.  ❞ dylan  runs  a  hand  through  his  dark  strands  of  hair,  realizing  he  is  shaking  slightly  —  if  being  too  close  to  her  for  a  few  moments  could  do  this,  there  is  no  telling  how  little  it  would  take  for  him  to  come  undone.  ❝ listen,  i'm  grateful  you  think  that  way,  but  .  .  .  ❞  he  shoves  both  hands  into  his  pants'  pockets  while  a  defeated  sigh  just  almost  fills  the  air  between  them.  ❝ i  need  security.  ness  needs  security.  what  happens  when  i'm  not  here  anymore  ?  who  will  look  after  her  ?  ❞   dylan  asks  exasperatedly,  finally  returning  his  gaze  to  alice  as  if  willing  her  to  understand  that  this  wasn't  a  distant  fate.
