A peace loving man like himself did not need the trouble that someone from Kits past brought up, regardless how upfront he presented his intentions. It could never be that easy, Nat knew as much. But indeed he found himself more tense and protective than usual, albeit not irritated or in any way affected by being referred to as a dog. On the contrary, he was rather neutral in how he sat, how his expression didn't shift nor his tone. "They won't be a problem, we dealt with those who found him and will do so again."
Obviously he wouldn't bother explaining how, Kawin did not seem as open minded as Kit had been to what Nat was capable of. Nor did he want to do it again either, yet if more was to come he would not hesitate to do so. "So unless that is the only reason why you sought him out, is there anything else you came to talk about?" Thumb brushed calmly along the back of Kit's hand, not bothered with how his fingers buried into his muscle but his legs did shift to cross. "Kit deserves peace. If you have any care for him left in your heart you'd agree, wouldn't you?"
Maybe Kawin wasn't as up to date as he liked to think, because he didn't know that Nat and Kit apparently took care of some people and that showed on Kawins face. Kit was sitting up a little, looking right back at their visitor. It was rare to see Kawin drop his pokerface. But he knew that his former friend wasn't a violent person, he wasn't someone that got his hands dirty. He was no fighter, he was the brain. Kit drove the car and Kawin used his expertise for them to know which paintings to steal. Neither of them were violent. So maybe Kawin was surprised to hear that they did take.. care.
"Protective." Kawin noted, with the way Nat spoke for Kit, hand over his, towering a little over the other man. "I am not here to bother any peace but to make sure that we both get it. We both deserve it." His brows knitted a little. "Why does Kit deserve peace more than I do when we are guilty of doing the same crime?" They had both been part of these heists. "I want my peace and I wanted to offer backup." Kit smirked. "You're.. honestly worried." And Kawin was. "See, maybe you don't need me." Kawin was slowly getting to his feet, taking a card from his jacket to put it on the couch table. "But I am your new neighbor so, call me if you need something."
He was looking at Nat. "I am not here to bother anyones peace." And then his gaze wandered back towards Kit. "You're boyfriend, he is a bit scary." And it made him smile. Made both smile.
