@ the last anon: the word gay is never said because none of the characters are strictly gay. many of them could be inferred as bi, or pan, and you can outright choose at the start whether you want your dadsona to be gay, or bi, or so on. as for the 'horror elements', they're not accessible other than through data mining. it's unknown at this time whether or not they will be made accessible, but iirc, the writers have already stated that it's non-canon

I feel like this game is an elegant example of gay writers trying to be inoffensive to straight sensibilities, avoiding ever saying the word gay, adding in horror elements to make the gay romance sinful, making the christian dad "protect the sanctity of marriage" it's more or less a self hatred fest for gay people
