Did I fall asleep?

She only hummed a reply at first but stepped away from the tree. “The easy answer is my metabolism is different and alcohol from here doesn’t even effect me till I have drank maybe three times the amount it would take ta get ta you.” She said with a little shrug. “I wont drink that much , so it’s not a concern.” That was indeed the easier answer of her two reasons. “I don’t have ta be the one decorating it if ya wanna wait?”

“For a minute there, I thought you meant you don’t find me that attractive anymore, I was starting to worry” he joked letting out a  laugh, “ I get it, but it’s okay, you’ll be be with friends , it’s okay to... let it loose, so to say” he smiled at her, it was not like he wanted to get drunk , he just wanted her to feel like she was safe with him and his friends and could have fun without any kind of problems. “No, it’s okay, I was just letting you know, that I’m not that good at it, so if it looks bad, you can’t blame me” he joked.

“Hmmm I dunno. If he hits on ya it just shows he has good tastes.” She chuckled and moved over to the still bare tree. “ I don’t think thats gonna be a problem for me, luka ” she laughed about his comment of drunk girls. She already found him irresistible, but also human alcohol took a lot to effect her and she had no plans on drinking that much. “I need ta pick up new ornaments this year…what colors ya wanna go with?”

“True,” he nodded, “But with a pretty girl like you around, he shouldn’t be looking at me, even when I look this hot” he pointed to himself and winked at her. “Oh, yeah?And why is that, love?” he asked raising an eyebrow but giving her a playful smile. “Mmm, just the usual Christmas colors, Red, Green, White. Usually Camille helps with this things, so I’m kinda now an expert” he laughed.

She only rolled his eyes at him. Oh course she knew that and she smiled easily. “Don’tcha go checkin’ out my make believe boyfriend. It’s not cute. He might like ya better.” she continued right on with her teasing as if it was simply how the pair talked to one another. “Ahh..okay good. I like ta have one or two glasses of wine once in a while.” she smiled over at him held up another garland for him to find a place for.

“Well, “ he laughed, “I can’t say I’ve never had man coming on to me, y’know this body ‘S kind hard to resist,” he smirked, “But, if he does hit on me, then we’ll know for sure, he’s not the right guy for you, yeah?”  Luka nodded, he knew it must be kind of hard for her to live in a different world, where she couldn’t be who she really was and had people thinking she was teenager, in a way he knew what that was like, he couldn’t be himself with a lot people either, considering he too had a secret, he was a Reaper and not many people would know how to deal with that. “Me too, don’t worry, sweetheart, you can have all the drinks you want, but I gotta tell ya, drunk girls tend to find me...irresistable” he winked taking the object from her.

“I’ll be sure ta bring him then…just ta make ya jealous~” she purred, only to instantly giggle after knowing it wouldn’t work in the slightest at this point. “Maybe I’ll come for a little while…Hey..can I drink though if I come? I know I look 16 but ya know that isn’t how it is..” she pointed out and usually she did have a glass of something really sweet like wine at this time of year.

“Ah!” he chuckled, “Honey, you know I’m not the jealous kind” placing the Christmas decoration in its place he walked over to her and kissed her forhead, “Doesn’t mean your not not especial to me, though, and if you do bring a boy, I may...check him out...” he raised an eyebrow realizing that sounded weird, “I mean to make sure he’s a nice person and you’re in good hands,of course.” He nodded, “Yeah, sure! I know you’re not 16, love, believe me” he winked.

His hand felt warm around her own and she quickly felt that warmth in her cheeks as well. She glanced away to keep him from seeing even as she listened to what he had to say. “We’ll see, Luka..Okay? I don’t wanna make a promise that I might back out of.” she smiled having already made her mind to come, but not wanting to give it away just yet. “Maybe I’ll find a boyfriend by then~” she teased and stuck her tongue out playfully at him.

He noticed her pulling away but said nothing about it, picking up the decoration again, he began to look for a place to put it, “Ah! it’ll look great over there” he said this more to himself than anything, then turning back at Sasuga he nodded, “Why don’t you come hang out at the party for a while? and if you don’t like it, you can leave , but I’ll tell you, love, you’re going to have lots of fun with the guys, they’re great.” He smirked at her comment, “Well, your boyfriend can come too, sweetheart, as long as he has a hot sister, or... friend to come along ” he chuckled.

Sasuga gave a little nod and handed him some garland. “Find a place for this?” she asked with a cheery smile. She paused however as he got close and made his offer…trouble brewing up in her thoughts and causing her to glance away. “I …donno, Luca. It sounds nice..but I don’t wanna hide my tail and ears on Christmas…I like some time ta just…be myself..”

With a nod he took the decoration she gave him and looked at it for a while, trying to decide where to place it. Then looking back at her, he smiled, putting the object down and walking over to her again, “That’s the thing!” he took her hand, “You wouln’t have to hide, sweetheart, Reaper remember? all my friends are well... other Reapers, they’re kinda like my...pack so to say, I trust them, it won’t be a problem.”

She chuckled over at him before heading back to the small box of Christmas decorations. “I dunno.. anywhere where I am wanted I guess.” She replied with a light shrug of her tiny shoulders. She could spend it at her apartment but it would be empty and rather lonely if she went that route. “What about you?”

“Need help with that,love?” he asked poiting at the box. “Well, I was thinkin’ of having a party here, just for some of my close friends and since...,” he placed his arm around her shoulders, “You are a very good friend of mine, maybe you’d like to come?”

Sasuga only smirked and with a quick push to her tiptoes, she kissed just the corner of his lips. She lingered there for a moment almost daring him to go for more before she lowered back down again.

It was not like he was surprised by the kiss, at this point, Luka knew he wasn’t the only one who enjoyed teasing and flirting, but for a moment there, he actually thought she was going to kiss him, as in, give him a real kiss, on the lips.  He smiled as she pulled away, “Well, now that that’s done,” he smirked and kissed her forehead, finally hanging the little plant, then smiling at his friend again, “I think it looks great there. So, since we’re on the subject... kinda, where are you going to spend Christmas?”
