Iâve been relistening to the books recently and decided to do a WOT rewatch.
Episode 1
Decided itâs a pretty solid episode after all. They didnât just age up the characters they mostly aged them forward as well.
Itâs was dark enough and grim enough. Of course it was all rushed. But thatâs the nature of tv adaptions I guess.

Anyone watched House of Dragons? How is it?

They had plenty of time to have a love affair later. Itâs not like either of them are dead.
i debated wether or not i should reply to this but im actually very upset so i will. first of all, yes im aware theyâre not dead, but this gifset is about the tv show and since the show ended what we got was this: theyâre going their separate ways and thereâs no indication theyâll be together romantically. and yes, iâm all for fanfiction and fan theories on what might happen but the show canon was that they didnât end up together so excuse me for being sad about it and trying to make a post to express my feelings about a ship thatâs been in my life since 2016 and left me heartbroken. secondly, while i understand the point youâre trying to make i really do wish you hadnât replied to this post if you disliked it so much because what am i supposed to do with your opinion other then be annoyed about it? like maybe you should try not being rude and learn to ignore posts you donât agree with instead of reblogging them just to add your two cents of hatred on something that probably took someone hours to make. honestly itâs the fact that i just saw a heartbreaking romance quote and thought of a ship that means so much to me and yet you were so bothered by it you had to reblog and add that little snarky reply. i hope it made you feel better about yourself.
But I loved your post. I was just offering a ray of hope. They are both very very young and although weâve stopped following their story on the TV show, thereâs no reason to believe that this isnât a universe in which they do end up together, either through political necessity or just because the passage of time heals all wounds. After all it is widely known now that Jon is not a Stark and that they are not cousins. Literally who knows what future does await them. That was all I was trying to say. As regards to Fan Fiction. The end seasons of the TV show are just as much canon divergent fan fiction as anyone elseâs fan fiction.
Ned the most honourable man in Westeros gives up his honor for Sansa, Brienne the most honorable knight in story says she is willing to give up her honor for Sansa. On the other hand Jaime a man without honor declares Sansa his last chance for honor. What's with Sansa and honor? Could be coincidence but I find it interesting....
I don't have any grand theories about this yet.

I always felt like Sansa and The Hound were like train tracks experience a parrallel story arc. Sansa the dreamer and Sandor the cynic both learning that their world views were incomplete. Both growing in opposite directions towards a more honest view and better understanding of the world they lived in.

Jon in the Middle (2019)
ned stark, a man who fought in a rebellion to quite literally overthrow the entire targaryen regime and replace it with a baratheon regime, was not a targ supporter just because he objects to child murder.
heâs a man of morals. just like how robb hates lannisters and went to war against them, he still objected to murdering children in their sleep just because they have lannister blood. ned was appalled to see a dead toddler and baby doesnât mean he loves the targaryens. thinking rhaegar wouldnât visit brothels isnât an endorsement, this sentiment is neither positive or negative.
and not wanting to kill a thirteen year old is not proof he would have loved dany. she was two years older than his own daughter, and three years younger than lyanna. of course he didnât want her killed. but he also didnât want her on the throne. the two would be enemies if they ever met.
he also didnât want to be responsible for the deaths of cerseiâs children, despite the fact that he dislikes both jaime and cersei. ned still warns cersei to protect joffrey, myrcella, and tommen because heâs a decent man.
ned was canonically on the stannis is the one true king train.
Do people who ship Daenerys x Sansa actually like them together? I mean, regardless of whether they like only one of them or both of them because I know itâs still possible to ship characters even when you dislike or even hate a character but thereâs something off about shipping those two. Same with other WLW ASOIAF ships especially with a problematic⢠man LOL
okay so I used to ship it and I genuinely loved both of them, but I stopped sometime after the finale because I just couldnât stomach the site of sansa after that (show!sansa in season 8 is a bitch and I hate her so much)
also the fact that the most vocal stansas are fucking insufferable was a huge factor. I decided that dany deserves so much better than this
I totally Ship them. Life would have been so much simpler if Danny had fallen for her nephews hot sort of sister. But then I also ship her with Jon and Danny as a âtraditionalâ Targaryen threesome. Sansa and Jon could have produced the Targaryen heirs. Sansa and Danny could have been best friends with benefits.
Of course this all happens in la la land. When no one is exactly as portrayed in books or TV, but isnât that the point of shipping. Playing with dolls in the sandpit.

asoiaf 'neutralsâ and intellectuals: it is disturbing how much targaryen fans emphasize on beauty. beauty is not a virtue! cersei, jaime & lannisters are said to be incredibly beautiful but they are the most evil of the lot. euron is most beautiful of the greyjoys but he is the most cruel and evil of them. infact, in asoiaf, beauty might be more associated with evil and cruelty. these fans are so superficial and obsessed with beauty! tsk tsk!
some character stans: literally mentions how many times the word 'beautifulâ appears in a characterâs chapter to prove that said character is the most beautiful character of the series.

dany stans: we would have liked it if danyâs costumes resembled their book descriptions. she has such an interesting wardrobe and the show was horrible in costumes. also dany is canonically a skinny teen and extremely beautiful.
