Something Different

One of my AUs in my What If series (of sorts) is "What if Bean never went to North Island?"

He becomes an observer of the human condition. He never talks, just listens to what they have to say, points to anything they ask for, and gives a warm smile when needed.

One day, an unsettlingly gangly earthworm breezes through the door. The hairs on the back of Barks neck stand on end.

It’s a good thing. Reminds us that beneath this polite veneer of society, we’ll rip each other to pieces for a little food, or a spot closer to the fire.
