there’s a pause, the first lengthy sliver of silence since this interview began. ❛ my mom.. disappeared, like a lot of other people did. i wanted to stay with dad, but he didn’t wanna risk it before anyone knew what was going on. so we compromised, he’s out there saving the world and i’m in here learning how to do it just as good. eventually. we argued about it for months, but then this place popped up and it seemed... alright, i guess. ❜

 ' your dad — ant man, right ? you two close ? ' 

❛ yeah ! he’s great, he’s the coolest person i know. we’ve always been really close. like, i love my mom, but she didn’t really get me for a long time. ❜ she still misses her, still has some sort of hope that she’ll come back.

 ' that’s... fair. you think being here’s helped you in some way? '

❛ definitely ! i still have trouble with the whole growing shrinking thing here and there. it’s super wrapped up in like, certain emotions. so, it’s been really cool to try and... not do that when i’m having a bad day. ❜

son of wilbur robinson and delilah robinson, wilbur actually did grow up to be a cop and his mom’s a painter

todayland is an island and it’s accessible by ferry or an underwater metro, but it is technically a part of auradon. it’s the technological center of it and if you’ve seen meet the robinsons, looks like it does in the movie. todayland pretty much supplies all of auradon’s technology via robinson industries, the leading design scientific-research-and-design factory that mass produces cornelius’ designs

ridley’s gay and closeted ( in most verses / default ) and it’s not because his family wouldn’t be accepting of it, or his friends wouldn’t be or anything like that, it’s just, simon spier voice: announcing who you are to the world is pretty terrifying

he’s seventeen in his main verse and has, like, one class a week because he’s a genius and is super ahead in academics

he’s great with tech and has a bunch of weird devices lying around his room, like a mini carl the robot that helps him out with stuff, sometimes makes money off fixing phones or gadgets or enhancing them. a few people in auradon prep definitely have a clueless esque device that picks clothes for them and cars that float on water. it’s chill

also tutors, he just has the one class so his schedule’s pretty flexible

asthmatic

              is he ? aside from one specific thing he can think of, he’s never felt all that different. his family hangs their eccentricities around their necks, it’s the way they’ve been since he arrived before he could even have the though that he wasn’t really one of them. it’s hard to be different among them because they cover all the bases, he supposes at auradon prep it’s a little different. there’s no singing frogs or massive train to distract, he can never decide whether he wants to blend in or stand out. different hasn’t felt the exact same in all the times he’s heard it. 

                now, it’s nicer than anything else. he spares ren a second glance, tries to decide whether he’s serious or poking fun. science has always made more sense to him than people, but physics has never made his cheeks tint pink either, so maybe it’s a give and take type of thing. either way, corners of lips tug upward, ❛ you just like that i didn’t let you go another day not knowing how to make popcorn. ❜

         since you’d been freed from the isle,   you hadn’t left auradon prep.   but…   neverland was something else.   something you couldn’t quite believe that you were actually seeing with your own two eyes.   the plan you’d made for your life had never involved any of this.   gaze drifted to birdie,   lazy smile you weren’t even aware of rose to your features.   you couldn’t help but think about how beautiful she was,   not that those thoughts would ever be voiced aloud.   the idea of the relationship with her scared you;   you knew that it was more than a possibility that you would end up scaring her away once she got too close.   “   i can’t believe this is where you grew up.   you should see where i did,   “       /      @nothingsurvived

         it usually envelops her, this spirit neverland has. the freedom of it all, how different it is from auradon. she’s wished she could stay here forever for years. it’s all only worth noting because despite everything wonderful around them, she’s only really found nox worth watching. she’s in her favorite place on the world and all eyes ( so, just birdie’s ) are on the other. it’s... scary, and she forces herself to look away if only for a moment. ❛ technically growing up was kinda the opposite of what i did here. ❜ after all, neverland’s always been stuck in time. she’s teasing, corner of lips tugged up into grin, ❛ mm, maybe that’ll be our next break visit. ❜

dj’s at a club in auradon city a few nights a week, he got the job quickly because he talked to a girl at the bar that ended up being an employee with connections to the manager, he’s good at it and they both somehow liked him

when he arrives to auradon he dresses mostly in black / grey / monochrome colors, as he’s there longer his wardrobe expands and eventually is more to this aesthetic

it takes him a few years to get control of his powers even after coming to auradon, during which sage often accidentally causes nightmares / fear in those sort of nearby as he sleeps ( and when he’s experiencing intense / high levels of emotion ). because sage doesn’t actually want to give undeserving people nightmares, he stays up and when he needs sleep he’ll nap at like, 4 pm when most people are out and about

luckily, being part nightmare he generally needs less sleep to function than 100% humans do. he functions on less basic necessities than most need in general.

he split time between his mom and his dad on the isle, he’s not super close with either of them or particularly distant, he’s got a pretty average relationship with both
