Just because you glued some clockwork, doesn’t make it steampunk. Specially if you paint the cogwheels in bright colours. It was a nice idea though, keep trying.

If you want to tag it as lolita, it’s bittersweet lolita, not goth, not sweet and definitely not steampunk. 

Octopuses aren’t steampunk. Yes, we have a theme going with mechanical octopuses and whatnot, but it’s not because they’re octopuses, it’s because they’re mechanical. Let me stress that more: mechanical.

Just because they're cufflinks doesn't mean it’s steampunk. Cufflinks aren't inherently steampunk. STOP TAGGING RANDOM CUFFLINKS AS STEAMPUNK

I know it’s for kids and I know it’s a costume, but: - It doesn't even look like a monkey - €30 for a gold painted piece of cardboard? Are you crazy??

In which alternate reality is this steampunk? Honestly. How can you look at your bright orange crochet hat and say “this is so 1890!” Shame on you, soccer mom, shame on you.

And yet another Superman themed “steampunk” object, is there a steampunk AU comic I haven’t read?
