I mean hilariously in tfoo's case even if you ignored the author completely and you'd never heard of Taylor Swift...the line is explained contextually in the song?

"legend has it, you're quite the pyro"
like. contextually this is a love song about how someone saved the narrator from a sad, drowned fate. In that context "pulling me into the fire" is so clearly warm and positive lmao open the schools
“as legend has it, you are quite the pyro, you light the match to watch it blow” is one of my favorite lines in the whole song btw. no one talks about it enough!!!!!

I wanted to say a big thank you to the Bluebird Cafe. I think any songwriter in town would echo my sentiments and say that this is kind of the only place where this exists – this particular place where you get to come and hear the writer’s take on the songs they’ve put out into the world.
Replaced our World Cup fixture chart with a Question of the Day poster today because lots of people have been dropping by to check it.
Some of the rationales for choices were very fun to overhear:

"Can't swim, so I couldn't be a dolphin" (laughed when we asked if she could fly!)
