taylor's always been unmatched at using her vocals in the storytelling of the song and adding emotion and character to it, but her getting even better at it is almost scary.

4. Do you like your name? Is there another name you think would fit you better?

I like my name and wouldn't change it. Funnily enough, I did have another name when I was first born, but I was adopted pretty much immediately and my parents named me. I can't imagine being called by the other name though, it's not me.

8. What musical artists have you felt most connected to over your lifetime?

I'd probably say Scottish bands like Deacon Blue, or Texas, or even Runrig when I was younger because they use references I know (like places, cultural norms and general knowledge) in their songs and speak/sing with a similar accent.

9. Are you an artist?

I take photos which is creative, but I wouldn't class myself as an artist, no. I do like doodling and I'd actually like to be better at drawing, but it's not currently a strong enough desire to make me actually do it!

Just the way Taylor perfectly captures the mood of the movies she writes songs for is amazing. This song is SOOOO Toy Story

She's just so good at putting herself into an emotional place and writing catchy lyrics that are also meaningful. It's a real talent, but she also puts in a lot of work to challenge herself and not settle. Love seeing her succeed!

I am just! wow this sounds like her owning her whole whole self again “man it’s been a while—wearing that same smile” like. that’s how it’s felt seeing her the last few years, and honestly this coming out so close to the anniversary of owning her masters?! is kinda making me teary

TaylorSwift: Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @/toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.

Thank you to the brilliant Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this, all those years ago when you wrote this newest film. Thank you to the incomparable @/RandyNewman or the gorgeous sonic tapestry of songs and scores you’ve meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world, and we are lucky to get to live in it.

By we, I mean myself and my pal @/jackantonoff. We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods. “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 is out everywhere now. 🤠🐴
