#to clarify I am in no way disparaging fanfic lol that would be hypocritical#but some people will misinterpret you as badly as people on the internet misinterpret your favorite character#or interests or etc.#and you can't take all of that on or into yourself#no single person could ever carry or hold that weight#not for real#not always#not forever#also hey if you look at someone and think “How could they not know?????????”#please do consider that they genuinely straight up do not know#unless there is specific evidence of malice#signed someone whose roommates have often historically decided to wage huge fights#against my literal fucking disabilities#instead of Using Their Words and Telling Me Things#you are not responsible for knowing about a problem that you had no way to know about#doesn't mean you don't have to do something once you know about the problem#but I'm tired of seeing friend groups explode because everyone assumed malice#when the explanation was ACTUALLY “that person is closeted and they're not out to you”#or when the explanation is ACTUALLY “ptsd and literally none of your business”#or some giant game of telephone
