Recent highlights:
got a bargain tv unit that fits exactly in the space I wanted
some lovely walks with the pup in some country parks and up Calton Hill
friend came and helped me put up some blinds I got in a sale
games night with the girls
sorted out my photo library on Lightroom
nice catchup lunch with my cousin
did a reasonable job with a new potato variety (hasselback)
managed to set up an extra freezer so I can stockpile delicious things!
new running shoes are very comfy (new in that I hadn't worn them, but I bought them in the sale months ago)
enjoying all the little updates about T&T's wedding
My fake jellyfish tank light thing survived five days in intense heat and tbh it's kinda giving me joy
Today's "humans are good" story:
Watched a man trying to fit a door he'd just bought into a car that was far too small for it. The I saw this other total stranger watch him for a bit, then go over and offer to take it in his van for him. It made me happy to see it - the other guy could have just kept going and got on with his day

Dusting
I love my clutter,
A busy room of stories
Whether intended or created.
I love my books,
Worlds to visit and explore,
Pages to fill writing more.
I don't love the dust,
And scarce remember to dust.
But a wipe helps,
An occasional clean
Even of one item,
Perhaps it's small,
And not much for my items,
But it's a little less dust
Another moment of joy
Remembering the item
And how it makes smiles.
I could try dusting more,
But where would the small moments be then?
