I’ve been doing some research on plants recently! Some of my favorites are:

Tideweed- deep purple and blue algae that uses holdfasts to stay in place

Greegs- Green grass that uses the sunlight shining on the ocean for photosynthesis

Salt Cabbage- A roughly hand-shaped algae that will expand as to reach sunlight.

Petan- A daisy-like flower that absorbs water and carbon dioxide for “food”

I went swimming today! I found a bunch of new animals! My friend even took notes on some of them:

Octopus with three tentacles - tripus (octopus, latin prefix “tri” for three) eat clams, shrimp, fish, etc. with their tentacles - tentacles help navigate underwater

Zebra manta ray - quagga ray (quagga, part of zebra scientific name, ray) eats plankton, small fish, etc. - survive well in the dark to hide from predators

Transparent squid - pellucid teuthida (pellucid meaning transparent, teuthida scientific name for squid) eat fish, other squid, etc…. big predators due to transparency, hard to hunt (overpopulation?) - transparent to hide from predators

huge turtles (talking like 6ft tall, 12 wide here) -chelonuan (scientific name name for turtle, chelonia, and gargantuan, huge, mix) omnivores, eat sea grasses/weeds/algae, larger scale animals like bigger fish and maybe even to the size of sharks & similar - hard shell and big enough to defend itself, slow
