The difference between Travis and Joe is Travis is in anentirelt foffernt industry with friends, guys, and fans from an entire different industry. Jack can tweak over Travis but it won't affect him as much. He's also really succesful in his field.
Joe didn't have that cred when he first met Taylor and let's be honest, he still doesn't.
He has to try and get on with everyone. I can see Joe trying to navigate the Taylor/Jack dynamic as sensitively as he could. Matty and Jack seem more similar than Joe and Jack imo.
Also, I do believe Taylor did like matty (I know not everyone agrees) but I don't but her kind, awwshucks persona.
Something tells me she and Matty have far more in common and that'd why Jack even considered him as a prospect. Also let's not forget, it was Matty who ghosted.
She would have stayed with him if not that. I'm a strong believer that the Taylor and Joe rs had ran its course anyway esp when You're Losing me dropped. That's not a song you write when you're thinking of being forever. It was done.
It's just either she didn't have another guy lined up and Matty in many ways always wanted to be in her orbit.
There's an interview where he even said he wouldn't mind it. So when the opportunity arose he essentially took it thinking maybe he could hack being with her and Taylor by then finally got the courage to pull the plug
Joe did say his rs with Taylor as loving and committed(personally by Evermore the cracks were turning to craters lol and then theres midnights which yeah. Ofc So Long London says somethign different) in the only comment he gave on the subject.
But it's not lost on me that she also announced her Joe breakup on matty Healy's birthday so yeah.
I may quibble slightly on the characterization of Joe's career - he is valued by the directors that matter and books prestige work. He can't call up a studio and make wild demands like a big action star, but I don't think he'd want to anyway. I would really doubt he cared what Jack thought of him or his career that much. I don't think you are saying he would, exactly, but more that Travis has a huge social network independent of Taylor, and that's very true!

I think she was begging for/demanding an apology from the stage whenever she would mention teaching men to apologize, though. It HAD run its course but that's not the same thing as her being able to accept that, imo. I think she just can't let go of things if they don't end on her exact terms.
I think Joe didn't fully integrate into her world the way she wanted, and that's fine! He had his own thing going. She's integrated herself into Travis' world, literally for better or worse.
